1992 Mercedes 300E Parts Car No reserve auction – starting price is scrap steel value. Note this car is in Chapel Hill, NC 27514, NOT CHARLOTTE, NC. Clean NC title. Well, up until last week when my son hit a patch of black ice doing about 10mph, it was a great car. Only 149k miles, great engine and transmission. As you can see, the front driver’s side did not win in the battle against the telephone pole. The air bag did not deploy and my son walked away, so all is good. He was able to drive the car the last mile home with the front wheel wobbling. He drove this car frequently from NC to Washington DC and now he is stuck sharing his sister's Volvo 240. Life is tough. No damage to the radiator and the drive train is fine. If you need a solid 3.0 liter Mercedes engine that never used a drop of oil and a solid transmission, go for it. Recent new parts: Crankshaft position sensor Regular oil changes every 4k. Plugs, distributor cap and rotor Front brake pads and rotors Transmission cooler hose Oxygen sensor Tires are 50% Michelins New headlight bulbs last month (haha) I have all the receipts. Interior is in good minus condition, some scratches on the mextex seats. Paint is crazing in places, clearcoat is gone. The radio does not work. Front driver’s seat motor only moves in the forward direction. The hood emblem is missing (you are going to need a new hood anyhow.) Sometimes she would not start in park and you have to start in neutral, likely a loose wire on the neutral safety switch. A/C and climate control work great. You can fix her or you can part her out. There is a lot of quality in this vehicle. You must bring a dolly or flatbed to tow her away, she is not safe to drive. No warranties implied or expressed. AS IS WHERE IS.
