Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1966 GMC pickup truck 2 wheel drive 1/2 ton granny 4 speed v-8 chev 350. Power steering with leaf springs in rear. Just a good old truck. wood bed still intact wheel wells/ tubs are not all beat and dented Tail gate is strait even the rear bumper is not trashed. Rockers look solid all 4 cab supports are solid bed sides are solid. Decent chrome grille, better than most. The front fenders have surface rust started but no holes. The inner front fenders are solid. The hood is good but it is a Chevy hood (I do have a GMC hood that goes with it) The cab inside looks good no holes in the floor all the heater controls are there, newer windshield and gasket. seat has been recovered. All in all not perfect but better than average in my opinion from what I looked at. again pretty solid old truck. story: I bought this truck last summer to put the body on a 1980s 4x4 chassis. I have driven the truck 400-600 miles. I since found a 3/4 ton with bad running gear and big back window that I am going to use for my project. Makes no sense to trash this good 1/2 ton chassis. The guy I bought this truck from told me he ran this truck as a daily driver for several years. He put a crate 350 in it painted over the VIN plate when he painted it. He moved from Idaho to Washington State and Washington State inspected the truck and made him put the new Washington VIN# on it..( I could of cared less its a good solid truck not a rare muscle car) its a GMC cab titled as 1966 GMC looks all GMC to me but does have a misfit hood and you can see where the paint has failed the under parts are about 3 different colors.. Anyway he fixed it up drove it then drove it less used it as spare truck with the intent of saving it for his Grandson. When the grandson got old enough this guy said he went through it all brakes tune etc. got it all ready for grandson Then grandson decided he wanted a car. Thus it ended up in my garage. thanksOn Feb-01-14 at 21:46:01 PST, seller added the following information: SHIPPING GUOTES TRY: autoshiptransport.com 305-537-3729 or autoshipperus and get 10 free quote Thanks
