Offered at no reserve is Joe Sudik's 1968 honda z50. It was bought new given to Joe as his middle school graduation present. The picture shows Joe and his sister the evening he was given the bike June 1969. Here it is now 46 years later in its original glory. Nothing ever changed, touched up, replaced, or restored. The bike has certainly been ridden but always cared for wearing its original white grips, plastic levers, tubes and tires. The only thing missing from the bike is the exhaust guard which Joe said had cracked at some point. He promises that he has it and will get it to the future owner if/when he puts his hand on it. I must stress it has not been washed, rinsed, dusted, or detailed. Included with the sale is the bike as pictured, the 5 vintage photos (yes the originals), the title, and all of the original owner's contact information. This is a very special little motorcycle that has never been offered for sale. Restored / refurbished things are nice, but they will never have the character or value of an original. I am very happy that most are appreciating this little bike and the cool history behind it. I wanted to take a moment to address some questions/concerns i have gotten concerning the running condition of the bike. Before going into dry storage a few years back, this bike was started and run through all of the gears. It ran, shifted, rode, and stopped as it should. After that the oil was changed and the fuel was drained from the gas tank and carburetor. If the new owner would like a running demonstration I have no problem with that. I have also had a few questions about the gas tank condition. The gas tank is the nicest 68 z50 gas tank I have ever seen. The colors are bright, clear, and free of any fading, dents, dings, or major scratches. It retains its original fuel cap, and the inside of the tank is clean.
