Vehicle Detail
1976 Chevrolet K5 Blazer Cheyenne 4WD, 400 Small Block, Turbo Hydomatic 350, all original except for the white spoke wheels. Special two-tone paint in Spring Green and White as ordered from the factory. 31 Gallon Fuel Tank, 3.73 Rear Locking Differential, All Weather Air Conditioning, Heavy Duty Front Springs, Front Bucket Seats that were redone a some point before we purchased the vehicle. The truck has about 320,000 miles on the bottom end of the engine and the top end has about 120,000. The Blazer has a blown head gasket and is in need of restoration. The truck will run but very poor and needs to be rebuild. The body is in excellent condition with very little or no rust. All numbers match and we have the original owners manual to the vehicle. The front end was replaced with part time locking hubs but the track is still Full Time Four Wheel Drive. Original factory plate with all the options and maintenance records going back about fifteen years. The transmission and transfer case are in good condition except for a small leak from the transfer case. The transmission needs new o-rings around the dip stick tube as well. The rear end needs a new gasket, the rear gate lock needs to be replaced, the rear bench seat needs to be re-done, the trucks interior has some issues with cracks in the dashboard and needs new carpeting throughout. The windshield has a pretty long crack in it. The tires are BF Goodrich All Terrains, 32X10.50-15's and have about 10K miles since new. We recently had the front drive shaft rebuilt with a new u-joints and and yolk which is currently off of the vehicle. Before we purchased this vehicle about fifteen years ago we looked at sixty five K5 Blazers and purchased this one because most of the other ones were rusted through. This vehicle is originally an Arizona truck. This is a great project for someone that wants to restore a K5 from the ground up or just have a crate motor installed for about $2,500. Thank you.
