1991 Lotus Elan M100 M2 Turbo Convertible Sports Car 1991 Lotus Elan M100 M2 Turbo 1.6L The paint is not as good as the pictures make it look, it is faded on the hood and has chips in some areas. It has a few small problems that I never chose to deal with, the knob on the right seat to adjust the seat back is stripped and no longer adjust the seat, you have put a socket on the bolt to rotate the bolt to adjust the seatback. The driver's side window motor went out 2 years ago, I ordered a new motor/regulator/cable assembly and replace it, it works but needs adjustment, you have to guide the window by hand to keep it from getting stuck on the way up, it lowers fine. The turbo gauge shows full pressure at all times, we had our mechanic check the pressure and the pressure is correct at all RPM, he thought the sensor was either not grounded correctly or may be bad, this does not effect the turbo at all. We have door insert trim to match the seats, we installed the matching trim inserts and thought the original black ones looked better. The original inserts are back in place, but need secured. I used this car as an every day driver to and from work during the summer for several years. Two years ago I purchased a Lotus Exige and did not drive this car since. I did take it out every once in a while around the block to check for leaks or anything. I replaced the battery last summer, without using a Battery Tender it seems to go through a battery every 3 years. This car was purchased new in Florida and spent most of it's life in New Mexico and Arizona until 2009 when it was brought to Ohio. The car was originally red.I have had several people ask if the car is capable of driving to AZ, FLA, etc. I have not had any problems with driving the car to and from work during the summers, but any car that sits for several months I would not trust to drive more than an hour.Also, the door window seals will need to be replaced if the car is going to spend much time outside.
