Jaguar Sport launched a limited edition of the XJR-S in collaboration with Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) one of the most respected racing engineers in the UK. In 1993 a special run of 100 XJR-S were sold only in the U.S. The run consisted of 50 Coupes and 50 convertibles with 25 of each type in either black or red. This particular motorcar is numbered 071 on a Sterling Silver plaque made by Asprey, one of England’s most prestigious jewelers, on the center console. There were only 27 produced of the Black Convertible and it comes with full documentation. The XJR-S “Sport” is the most potent 6.0L V12 engine every made with 315 horsepower and the driveline, suspension and brakes were engineered, built and installed by TRW. Among the many other upgrades are the Zytec ECU ignition system, rear spoiler, under tray, lower side sills, alloy wheels, 4 pipe exhaust system, special instrumentation, and a custom front end treatment just to mention a few. This particular model is finished in flawless Mason Black with impeccable black leather interior surrounded by magnificent burled walnut. It has a perfect black electric convertible top. Also included is climate control air conditioning, power seats with lumbar support and memory, heated seats and door mirrors, tilt steering wheel, radio/CD changer plus every refinement available at the time. This incredible motorcar has gone only 27,962 certified miles. We have a copy of the Certificate of Origin from Jaguar Cars, Inc. and a copy of the original bill of sale with the cost being $84,100.00.
