1955 Chevrolet 3100 Big Window Pickup I bought this truck in March of this year as a project and have been driving it on errands every few weeks since then. The only problems I have had with it are a slow leak in the left front tire and the carburetor, which I just had rebuilt last week. I would prefer to keep it but I am being relocated from the desert to the rain and I won’t have anywhere to store it inside. The truck has been in the desert in or around Tucson, Arizona all its life, and I bought it from the second-owner family. I’ve noted the positives and negatives below, but please e-mail me with any questions or if you would like photos of anything specific. - ½-ton shortbed stepside pickup, “Second Series” body style - “Big Window” wrap-around rear window - Original 235c.i. (3.9L) inline 6 (I-6) cylinder engine - Original 4-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission (fairly rare vs manual transmission) - 12-volt electrical - Runs and drives well - Rebuilt carb in September 2013 - Some pinhole leaks in radiator - 1 tire has a slow leak and probably some flat spots from sitting flat - Several dings and scrapes (see pictures) - Overall extremely solid truck including flawless cab floors - Rust in the right rear bottom corner of cab (see picture) - Rust spot on rear bottom corner of left front fender (see picture) - Repaired dent on front right side of hood (see internal/external pictures) - Repaired dent lower front edge of right door - Unidentified coating on driver door instead of door panel - One of four hubcaps is missing - The truck was primered at some point years ago but has some typical Arizona surface rust showing through - It appears to have been originally white and repainted light blue at some point - Bed is solid but bed wood is rotted – see pictures Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE On Sep-27-13 at 21:31:40 PDT, seller added the following information: As noted above, the odometer has obviously turned over at least once even though it reads under 19k.
