Gone is the older look that Jaguar was known for the past 30 years along with an interior that was old and stale making the XJ obsolete. Jaguar was very thoughtful to design their new luxury car that not only competed within the luxury class but exceeded it by a wide margin. Personally having been driving the XJL for the past week... I put this cat at the top of its class clearly beating out the Mercedes S 550, the BMW 750 LI, Audi A8L and the Porsche Panamera in both interior and exterior ergonomics. Jaguar ditched the stuffy fascia of wood, the ugly green lighting and crotchety old J gate shifter in favor of a cabin so exquisitely detailed and so dramatically designed you feel really special driving it on any occasion. The exterior speaks volumes on what a 2012 luxury sedan should look like. Sleek, very attractive, dynamic styling and a great driver. The XJL represents an excellent balance between the ride, comfort and sporty handling and with it's aluminum chassis and adaptive suspension this car is deceptively agile. Our XJL Portfolfio Edition is powered by a 5.0-liter V-8 that produces 385-HP and 380 pounds-feet of torque. Has a very smooth ZF six-speed automatic transmission with F-1 paddle shifter just to be sporty. The XJL is peppy as it sprints along at 0-60-mph in just 5.4 seconds with a combined fuel economy of 19 mpg not bad for a car that heads its class. With the MSRP of $82,075.00 The Portfolio Edition represents a great retail value with standard equipment such as the panoramic glass roof, smart-key keyless entry and start, virtual instruments with LED readings throughout the dash..so very cool, an optional wood and leather steering wheel was also added. A great option on the car is the blind spot monitor which is imbedded in the side view mirrors. The 8" touch-screen interface which manages the satellite navigation, climate control, Bowers & Wilkins 1200 watt HD sound system, bluetooth, ipod and USB connection is terrific and very efficient. The blue leather-wrapped dash is dominated by twin center air vents reminiscent of the F-16 fighter jets, the brown-tan leather seats and trim are a perfect counter balance to the aerodynamic look the new XJL now possess. Our Jaguar has only 15,500 one owner miles. Has a perfect car-fax and auto-check and we just replaced the tires with new set of Pirelli P-Zero Nero's and is ready to be sold. The warrantee on our Jaguar is a bumper-bumber 4 year 50,000 mile and covers everything but tires. The warrantee is good until February 20, 2016. As you have read I happen to love this car.
