This is an all original 1975 Dodge Dart Swinger that was purchased in Spokane in 1976 by Palmer Hornbuckle, It was special order because he wanted a 4 speed transmission with Overdrive and they didnt have any so he was ordered one. Mrs. Hornbuckle had a problem with said transmission and the car ended up sitting in a garage in Spokane for 20 years or so with around 30k miles. A gentlman from Redmond, Washington bought her and did a few things, like put in a new transmission leaving the old one in the trunk. Then Zev Siegl, one of the original 3 guys to open Starbucks with Jerry Balwin and Gordon Bowker, bought her and put the original transmission back in. Not knowing it needed to be rebuilt so the car sat again before the current owner bought her and went BALLISTIC WITH THE CREDIT CARD! I added up the receipts. Since 2005 she has spent well over 6k to fix the things 25 years of sitting did a number on. From ball joints to a few brake jobs. Mechanically, this 220 is good to go and has been driven since being bought and mechanically rescued in 2005. She has added around 32k miles since 2005 and is a very reliable car. These motors are known to do 250k miles with proper health care. Issues are relatively small but there are a few. The shocks seem a little tired. The fuel gauge works for about 5 minutes a tank so a sending unit will be needed. The temp gauge is inop. There is a few rips in the back portion of the front seat. CAN BE REPLACED THROUGH YEAR ONE! Interior is in really clean shape with the exception of back of drivers seat. THERE IS NO RUST! The paint is 100% original with just a few blemishes but nothing like dents or scratches. The body is damn straight. The vinyl top is original and still in fine shape too.
