Please ask questions if you have any concerns about this truck prior to bidding. This is an all original 1937 chevy truck. This is one of the most solid unrestored 1937's we have seen in a very long time. Previous owners kept everything stored inside and took great care of their trucks. This truck has been stored inside of a dry barn since it was new and only driven occasionally during harvest season. Engine number and Cowl tag ID number both match the title . This is the original 216 engine. The cab on this 1937 is very solid with no visible rust problems on floors , floor pans, behind seat , or on the dash. Even the front cab corners are solid ! Windshield frame also looks great. Header panel has no visible rot and looks solid. Gauges are intact , glove box door is not rotted , nice rocker panels , seat frames are not rotted and are rust free although some of the seat springs are broken due to age. Rear window frame is intact although rear window glass needs to be replaced. RH glass is missing from RH door. Top roof of cab does have some dings on it. Rear cab midsection has some indents. Front clip looks great with the exception of a dent & some rust on lower chin panel & some grille restoration that is needing to be done. Hood has a few typical stress cracks that need welding on the thin areas near the fins. Front fenders do have some dings & light bends on edges that need hammering. Truck has original engine crank handle and lug wrench laying on the lower seats. Paint does have some light speckles of white overspray in some places probably due to someone painting inside of the barn years ago. Motor looks very solid and turns over nicely by hand. For the age of the motor it is very clean and does not even have any oil build up on the lower engine side pans .We have not tried to get this engine running so we are unsure if it is in need of servicing. Oil did not have any signs of water in it and was at the full level. Under hood horns need to be replaced. Horn bracket looks great. Transmission shifts into all gears. Brake components are intact but truck does not have brake pressure so will need brake servicing Frame is not cut and looks great. Tires will hold air for about a week but they have very slow leaks and are dried out and will need to be replaced. Title information: Truck does have a title however it is not current but it is clear and not dated. Title history .... We purchased this truck from the original farm that purchased it new. We purchased it from the grandson and his father passed away quite some time ago and he inherited the farm and all of the items on the farm. His grandfather did not sign the title before he passed away and the father did not transfer it either so The grandson gave us the title that he had for the truck which is the original title issued in 1937. title is in his grandfathers name. All we will be able to provide is the original title that we received with this truck. it is the original title from 1937 and is not signed or dated and has no writing on the back of the title. you can deal directly with pierre sd department of revenue to get a modern title for it when it comes time to register it considering you will have the original title with the truck.
