This 1982 Mercury Capri was my project car. i had it custom painted, transmission and engine overhaul even though it only has 50,000 or so orginal miles on it, I wanted a "new like condition of my highschool dream car. However, age and family has caught up to me, and even though I was close to finishing, I just do not have time to finish by renivating and installing the interior. I am family planning and I no longer have room for all it's car parts. I have the interior parts for it however they are not attatched. The interior is the rest of the job that needs to be done. Some time has lapsed since I had the custom job and some rust areas will need to be repaired under the paint near the gas area and spots around the sun roof. Orginal TRX wheels with orginal tires. TRX wheel tires are still available by special order. Although you can replace the wheels with alternate type the rack and pinion system was designed to perform with the orignial OEM wheels. Although if you look at the emission reports, they assumed because of the age of the car that it has had 4 owners, but infact it has only had 3. I was the third owner. The first owner bought it new off the lot and ran into financial troubles and there a lien put against it. Then it was parked. then a boy found it and purchased it from the orginal owner, but when I saw it and it being a RARE CAPRI GT, I made him an offer and he sold it to me. I then proceeded to not drive it much either because I was fixing it up. So asumption was that it was over 100,000. miles because of age instead of it's history. I had the car in the lat 1990's and it was not over 100,000 miles. So when the inspector put in mileage in the computer they put in over 100,000 miles instead of the actual mileage. They couldn't belive that it has had such low miles. But because it was my project car, I didn't drive it much either. I ran a truck instead. I am starting the bidding on this very low with no reserve. If you want lots of get up and go power and a very fun car to drive this is an excellent car to have. it has the ability to have aircondtioning and cruise control. Currently the cruise control isn't working but it is availalble. This auction would come with all the interior parts separated from the interior ready for you to install or someone you know to do so for you. The air conditioning isn't connected. the heater and most of the electricity all work. I had the drivers seat floor reinforced for a heavy person. I was heavy at the time.. Although I have put alot of love and work and soul into this car, By Bidding and purchasing this car, you agree to purchase it AS IS. Although I have done major work on the car, I can not forsee any future repairs and by purchasing this car, you agree to be responsible for ANY AND ALL furture repairs. There is no returns on this auction Item. Buyer is responsible for picking up, or arranging for shipping before 3 days past the auction. THE ENGINE REBUILD WAS BUILT TO OEM STANDARD FOR A 305 ENGINE. I CHOSE A CAPRI BECUASE i LIKED THE SQUARE NOSE BETTER THAN THE LONG POINTY ONE. BECAUSE VERY FEW PEOPLE ORDERED THE CAPRI 5.0 GT GHIA THIS IS A VERY RARE CAR ALL THOSE ASKING ME TO PLEASE SEND THEM PICS. THE PICTURES IN THIS AUCTION A-R-E THE PICTURES OF this CAR!!
