Up for sale at NO RESERVE is my 1985 Mercedes Benz 190E 2.3 Liter 4 Door Sedan. It has been my daily driver for over 2 years with no issues. That is not to say that the car does not have its quirks, but it is and has been a reliable daily driver. Only major repair that has needed to be done was repair the throttle cable, at the cost of $125.00. Otherwise, it has been regular maintenance like oil changes, tires, etc. The front windshield is cracked. Bought it that way and has not affected me driving it back and forth to work daily. The exterior color is factory Mercedes Tan/Sand color which is faded and could use a good cleaning and polish. The interior is a dark tan, with a small rip on the passenger seat. Interior could use a good cleaning as well. Again, this has been my daily commuter car. Factory radio works and has upgraded speakers. Air conditioning needs to be recharged, but the heater works just fine. The hood/bonnet release cable just broke 2 days ago, so that will need attention/repair. The car gets decent gas mileage, around 22-25 mpg. It has been to Las Vegas and back with no issues, so I feel comfortable driving long distances in it. In fact, it made it to Las Vegas on a half tank of gas. I just paid the registration in September and it passed smog the last time, so no issues there. It does have an oil leak and you need to top it off with oil every 1500 to 2000 miles. The rear windows do not roll down, bought the car that way and have never researched why they do not work. The car does have a salvage title, bought it that way as well. The previous owner explained that the original engine overheated and warped the heads, so he replaced the engine with a lower mileage 2.3 190E engine. I assume the previous owner filed an insurance claim to replace the motor, which is why it has the salvage title. There is no evidence of an accident, other than the passenger side which has some scrapes/dings and some of the door trim has fallen off. Again, bought the car that way and it has had no effect on getting me too and from work 5 days a week. There are a number of shakes, rattles etc. with the car, but again, I have not bothered to track them down because it does not affect getting me too and from work. I have the title in hand, ready to sign and transfer to the next owner. The mileage listed is going to change as it is my daily driver. Again, this is a 27 year old car, it is not perfect and is not advertised as perfect, but has been and is a reliable form of cheap daily transportation. This car is being listed AS IS, with absolutely NO WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. The car will come with some additional parts, as provided to me from the previous owner. A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $300.00 through Paypal is due within 24 hours after the auction ends and the balance, in cash, is due within three days of the auction ending. I will not store the car for free. If you cannot pick the car up within 3 days after the auction ends, I can make arrangements to store the car for $25.00 a day, for up to 5 additional days. Buyer and seller to settle arrangements to pick up the car within 24 hours after auction ends.
