Vehicle Detail

bidding on an original bone stock deuce five window. All henrey steel all original to this car. this is an original v8 rumbleseat car. I purchased this car from the gentleman who owned it since 1968, when he purchased it in '68, it had 28,000 original miles, it now has 32,000. the car was completly frame off nut and bolt, restored some years ago to show condition, and stored away. the engine has less than 500 miles on its rebuild. everything on this car is original to this car except for the motor, the motor is a 1938 flathead. otherwise every nut and bolt are as they were in 32. I have pictures that show the car when it was disassembled in the early seventies and it is still wearing its original blue paint. I have included one picture of the car from that time period to show that this car has always been in excellent cond. It now wears a correct ford deep burgundy with black fenders. the interior is lebaron bonney and is in excellent cond. everything is working IE: headlamps hi and lo, horn (correct for 32 only) wipers gauges, dash lites etc. the original and very rare '32 only spare tire cover is present and in excellent cond. The car runs perfectly, shifts perfectly and stops perfectly. all the glass is safety and all windows function perfectly. the dash and window trim were woodgrained by the late Jocko McNeil of detroit, they are absolutly gorgeous. the frame is straight and has never seen rust. car steers straight and true. there are many NOS original FoMoCo parts that were installed at the time of its restoration. this is an older restoration, there are a few very tiny blemishes, but overall this car is still a high quality show winner, needing only a few things to bring it up to current show requirements. Car is located 20 min. west of detroit mich. I am not interested in trades. Thanks for looking, please do not hesitate to ask questions. On Aug-26-12 at 09:07:04 PDT, seller added the following information: seller reserves the right to end auction early if car is sold locally. ThanksOn Aug-26-12 at 13:06:42 PDT, seller added the following information: since the car has met reserve, there is no buy it now, its not for sale locally and the auction will run its course, car will sell to the highest bidder, thanks to everyone for the overwhelming amount of interest. On Aug-26-12 at 14:50:42 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several people inquire with regards to the VIN number not being consistant with the 1932 production numbers, The number listed on my title as the VIN, is the same number that was listed as the VIN the last time the title was issued in 1968. that number matches the serial number on the engine that is in the car. I was told by the office of the seratary of state in Michigan, (DMV) that it was a common practice in the 1930s and the 1940s as cars changed hand, to title them by engine number. The car is exactly as I bought it and exactly as it has been for at least 45 years, I want to make clear that the title is indeed clean and clear and is recognized by the state of michigan as legitamate. I have been asked about the frame number, I am however not inclined to disassemble the front of the car to find it. so please, if you are uncomfortable with the title, dont bid, if you have bid and are uncomfortable, I will accept your bid retraction, otherwise I hope this explination of any inconsistancies is acceptable. Thanks,
