You are bidding on one of the most unique Volvo's ever built. This is a 1989 240 DL wagon with a 1996 Impala SS drive line. The power plant was installed in the winter of 2008. At that time the engine and transmission were completely rebuild. Comp cam Roller Rockers were added. The car had 204k on it at the time of the swap. The car was also painted in the summer of 2008. The paint is good, but not perfect. At that time the panoramic roof was installed.This is a driver, not a show car. I sold the car in 2009. The owner literally put 3000 miles on it. This past spring I repurchased it. At that time I replaced all the brakes, (pads and rotors all around) New Tires,and upgraded the suspension with ipd springs. I also replaced the starter and complete rear end. The odometer stopped working less then a month ago. All gauges and Speedo still work correctly. The air conditioning even has been converted and blows cold! I have an chance to buy another project that has been a long time interested but first the Volvo needs to find a new home.
