Today up for bids is a 1966 Ford Fairlane 2 door sedan. This car was purchased from the original owner in the 80's and it has been in my Dads name ever since. It was parked in 1990 with 86,000 original miles because the midwest salt was starting to get the best of it. We pulled it out of the weeds and got it running again. The 289 engine fires right up and runs OK. It does have a slight miss. We already changed out the spark plugs and that wasn't it but I don't think it is anything major. The transmission has all the gears but we could not road test it because of the frame rust. The brakes do not work at all (sitting for 20 plus years will do that to you). This is a great parts car for someone completing a 66 Fairlane project. A lot of the trim is usable along with the glass. The trunk lid and hood are both in great shape and would also be able to be used. The rest of the body panels are in rougher shape. The only pieces missing from the car are the grille, headlight bezels and hood lip moulding. The title has been lost so there is no title that comes with the car (I had to put it had a clear title to list the car). The vehicle door tag breakdown looks like this..... It is too rough to bring back to road worthiness. Alot of great parts all in one place. The temporary gas tank and battery under the hood are not included in the auction. I double checked them and the doors are a lot nicer than I thought they were. The bottom edges are really clean and I can only see a couple of very light dings. Any more questions just let me know.
