1981 Ford Mustang LX Convertible You are bidding on a 1989 Ford Mustang LX convertible owned by two families since new. Just in time for summer topless fun. With just less than 75,000 miles this car has never been driven in the winter months. We have owned this Mustang for the last 9 years. I would say the car in very nice over all shape for a 1989. Power windows,Power top, Power door locks, Power mirror adjustment all are in working as they should. A/C will need a charge. We never used it. Compressor runs.The cloth interior in very good shape. This an automatic car with the 5.0 motor with plenty of power. The car runs very well and drives great. With Flow Master mufflers it sounds super. A little exhaust rumble, not loud. All lights work as they should. Nice tight steering. Good tires one to two summers left on them and good brakes. We just had the car portered by JC's Auto detailing in New Berlin, WI. They do excellent work. The top was replaced about 2 years ago and is EXCELLENT! The dark Maroon paint is in very nice shape. My camera and the sun makes some of the pictures look lighter. The car is one solid Maroon color. No repaint. No rust on the body, trunk pan. Some light scratched and a few little imperfection on the body. The bumpers could use a little touch up. Like most cars from the era there are little items that will need attention. I would drive this car any where any time with no worries. No wierd noises in the drive train. No electrical issues. No problems with this car. All gauges are working. This was my wife's car for the summer months and I just purchased a Corvette convertible for her on Ebay. This is the only reason the car is for sale. Yep she is spoiled. In fact that is her license plate. You are more than welcome to see the car in person and test drive if you want to.
