Vehicle Detail

up for sale is my 1929 roadster i built in 2005, it is not a rat rod, but what i call a hot rod, i have built it correctly and did not "throw things together" everything is neat. as it should be. it is built using a fiberglass body (maker unknown, but it has westcott stamped on the door hinges), tubbed rear, original 1929 frame, 350 chevy from a 1977 suburban, 350 turbo from same vehicle, S-10 rear 3.42 gear, coil over rear with carrera chrome shocks, front has super bell dropped axle, and reverse mono spring for 7 inch drop. vega steering box, pete & jake's hairpins, disc brakes on front, drum on rear, coker wide white radials on front, pep boys rear tires with port-a-walls( extra set for rear) custom camshaft spreader bar on front, aluminum radiator, aluminum water pump, chrome pulleys, aluminum intake with 600 holley, pertronics ignition in points type distributor to keep the old school look, cal custom finned valve covers, taylor wires, block hugger coated headers, 2000 stall B&m convertor, all bolts in motor that you see are stainless, as well as all bolts in body that you see, stainless radiator support rods, electric fuel pump, manual brakes, removeable steering wheel ( like race car) steering column is custom make by me, the turn signal wire go inside the column and come out behind the custom column drop that is made from a carrillo racing rod for a suzuki, it has all flaming river joints, including an isolator joint so you don't feel the road vibrations, custom aluminum polished checker plate step plates on running boards. hood fastens with dzus fasteners, has Carson style top that bolts on, but fits a 3 3/4 chopped windshield, the rear window on the top is cut out like the "mooneyes" logo, and functions well. i have a 2 inch chopped windshield on it now that came from a 1928 RPU that was chopped back in the day, the radiator is a 1929, and the grille is a '32 but i cut it to fit the '29 radiator, the gauges all work except the fuel ; it was never hooked up because the tank had no hole for it, the wires are there, as well as the gauge, the speedo reads correct at speed, the car runs, drives, stops, starts, steers perfect. it has a good ride, and i have driven it to charlotte good guys ( 100+ miles) at 70-80 mph with no problems. it will hit the road right and is a fun driver. it has a pioneer am/fm/cd player and speakers. the headlight bar is a 2 inch drop that is stainless, with peterbilt 359 headlights, it has '39 ford tail lights, the harness came from Southern rods, as did alot of the other parts. there is no heat or a/c as i didn't build it for cold weather, it has a round 11 gal. fuel tank in the trunk. and a fire extingisher. the car is flat black paint, frame is International- Harvester red. the pedals are lokar i think, but i've only seen the one set, the shifter is lokar 16 inch with a vintage red metalflake roadway mfg knob from the -70's. the interior is lowe's indoor/outdoor carpet grey.the rear suspension is 4 bar that i made. i have 30+ years experience with big rig diesels and cars. if you buy this car, you can test drive it( i go with you) if it is not what i've described it as being, i will refund your entire deposit, and we will part as friends. if you send a transport, i will help load it, but it must be paid for in full before it leaves. check my feedback, i have bought and sold on ebay for years, ( that what feedback is for) $500 deposit by paypal 48 hours after auction ends, the rest is due in cash or certfied funds before car leaves. i do not need trades at this time, as i have a few more projects already. i'm sure i left out some things, so ask questions. thanks, and bid with confidence that you will make a good purchase or your money backOn Jun-03-12 at 15:34:33 PDT, seller added the following information: this car was also in Rebel Rodz december 2008, page 41On Jun-03-12 at 15:36:38 PDT, seller added the following information: clear 1929 south carolina titleOn Jun-04-12 at 05:46:43 PDT, seller added the following information: when car was built, i installed a melling .444 cam& lifters ( red light thumper, smoothes out at about 15 mph) new oil pump and timing chain and gears, has a chrome oil pan, chrome front timing cover. On Jun-06-12 at 18:40:00 PDT, seller added the following information: front suspension is powder coated, hi torque mini starter, stainless hub caps and beauty rings.
