Vehicle Detail
Thanks for taking a look at our listing. There are over 20+ extra full size images to view of this truck located at the bottom of this listing page under the description of the interior , dash , engine , ect. Up for auction is this vintage 1936 International truck. This truck is in really good condition for its age. Even most of the interior wood is still intact and in good condition. This truck is definitely a head turner and is in above average condition for its age. All of the tires hold air and the truck rolls easily so it will be easy to load. Tires are showing some age but do hold pressure well . Doors open and close good . The previous owner had this truck running not too long ago but it has since sat and will need some maintenence again before it can be on the road. The upper LH freeze plug was leaking on the engine so it was removed but then never reinstalled. The engine turns over but will need new freeze plugs installed and will most likely need servicing and possibly a restoration. We have not heard the engine run. it is complete and looks like it would not take much to get it going. Brake components look complete but the brakes do not currently work and we have not tested them or worked on them. Interior is in amazing condition for the age. The seats have wooden frames with metal springs and they were restored but do have some holes in them and tears so they will need to be recovered again. Cab corners have a few small rust spots that need repair and lower outside door skins have a few small places at the bottom that have small rust holes. Hood is missing the RH emblem & the front bumper is also missing. Front bumper frame horns do have a few welds on them probably from a previous owner welding other brackets to it. should be an easy fix. All in all this is a great old vintage truck in wonderful condition for its age and will be easy to restore and lots of fun. This truck is titled as a 1930 international truck. It is my guess that what probably happened is someone bought this truck and someone did not know exactly what year it was or they could have got a digit off when transfering or applying for a title over the years. The title is a clear and current title in our name but it shows the year of the truck as 1930. You should be able to change that easily at your courthouse or DMV with an affidavit form when you transfer. The Vin number on the title shows 1690YD which is actually the number on the LH side of the engine block. We were able to find 1 body or vin tag on the truck located on the LH floor . That vin tag reads HDA 51575 and is an international truck tag. That tag on the floor was the only Body or vin tag that we could find on it. Alot of times old trucks were titled with the engine number so it should not be a problem at your courthouse. The title reads 1930 international TRK with the engine number as the Vin/serial number. On Apr-09-12 at 19:40:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello everyone. the truck is located a few short miles from spearfish, sd . It is right off of interstate 90. Zip code to spearfish is 57783 if you need to look up directions or transportation costs. On Apr-12-12 at 07:52:20 PDT, seller added the following information: hello bidders and watchers. here are some measurements of the tire size on the truck the truck should fit on a standard 18 - 21 foot car hauler but maybe the 18 footer might me just a bit small. it measures 190 inches from the front of the front wheels to the back of the rear wheels. it measures 67" from the outside of the LH front wheel to the outside of the RH front wheel. It measures 79" from the outside of one outer rear wheel to the outside of the other rear outer wheel. it measures 61" from the outside of the inner rear wheel to the outside of the other inner rear wheel. It measures approx 13 feet from the center of the front hubcap to the center of the rear hubcap. It looks like the outer rear wheels would come off pretty easily if you had to remove them. The threads are clean. -goodoldays!
