Vehicle Detail
1965 Corvette Convertible Restoration Project Maroon exterior with white convertible top and 327 300 hp engine, 4speed with 2 tone interior black and white. I started this restoration a couple years ago on rust free one owner 1965 Corvette Convertible and just really ran out of time as I have way too many other things going on to finish the car and I am selling it as is. I will give as many specifics as I can about the car, first off after disassembly the frame was powder coated the correct finish and all trailing arms, driveshafts, brake lines, brakes etc were restored or replaced using all the correct parts right down to the stenciling of the frame and all the correct markings on the driveshaft etc. The numbers matching drivetrain was completely rebuilt and restored, engine, tranny and rearend. Any of the essential parts that required date coding were bought correctly or restored as can be seen in pictures. The car was completely stripped and repainted about 2 years ago in base coat clear coat and even though it looks good now it will need to be blocked and color sanded and buffed to be show quality. All the expensive parts and work (frame, body, engine and tranny) have been bought and done, and can be seen in the pictures, with the exception of the bumpers that I had at my house so I couldn't take a picture of them but I had them all show rechromed at a cost of 3000 just for the bumper chroming and all bumper brackets have been powder coated the correct finishes as well. There is new carpet already installed in the car but it will need door panels, convertible top, convertible frame top is in good condition but needs painting, 1 dash pad is perfect one will need replacing, the seats are in excellent condition and could go in car as is, all new exhaust system with mufflers etc. Will need the vent widow assemblies restored and the stainless will need polishing and such. Way too much stuff for me to list, I have over 50k invested in this restoration and a lot of man hours, but it will be a beautiful car when finished worth much more than it will sell for in this auction. Email Jamie at furmanjamie@msn.com with any all questions, I had taken a lot more pictures but I could only post 24 in the auction, so I might have specific pictures availble to email directly that someone would want to see.On Feb-25-12 at 07:39:28 PST, seller added the following information: The car was bought from the original owner and I have a lot of paperwork that goes with the car, including the original invoice and Protecto Plate and Warranty booklet. On Mar-01-12 at 03:34:01 PST, seller added the following information: I had a couple of emails asking if there were any chips in the paint and the answer to that is no there is NOT any chips in the paint, there are just some reflections from the camera lens when I took the pictures.
