Vehicle Detail

Offered for sale for the 1st time since it was new is this 1975 Honda TL-125. It was purchased new as a left over in 1977 by my friend Roy Siegel from Burger’s Honda on Route 202 in Flemington NJ which is still in business. The TL series was a trials/trail bike that has many unique features which when combined made a very fun, unctional, and potent bike. It bike is an original, one owner, survivor, that has never been painted, touched up, or tampered with. The only things I can see not original are the grips which were replaced at one point with “scott” grips, and the home made fork protectors that Roy zip tied on at some point in the 80s. It is a sweetheart of a bike that was certainly ridden, but always cared for. The motor starts quickly, runs quietly, and the clutch/transmission function as they should. Gas tank is clean and still gleams. The handle bars are as straight as an arrow. Many of my friends have asked where the front number plate or headlight is. The TL series did not come with either. The idea was to keep the bike as lightweight and well balanced as possible. One imperfection I would like to point out is the back stinger section of the exhaust. If you look closely at the picture of the back right corner of the bike, you will see it has started to split. I am not sure how/why this happened or if it is common among these bikes, but It does not affect the sound or performance at all. Included in the sale is the bike as pictured, its original Honda title with envelope, owners manual, and color brochure. If you have any questions about the bike, my name is Ken and you can reach me directly at 908-581-3883. I can also put you in touch with the Roy who can answer any question going back to 12/22/1977 when he rolled the bike out off the showroom floor. Thanks and enjoy the auction. The TL is located in Whitehouse Station NJ 08889 which is about an hour west of New York City and an hour North East from Philidelphia. I can offer several shipping options for you to choose from: 1) I will deliver the bike to Forward Air in Newark NJ and load it in one of their containers for a fee of only $100 that will include new ratcheting tie-downs and locks that will be yours to keep. You must make all the arrangements and pay Forward Air their fee before I deliver the bike. You MUST use their container. Please check with them for rates @ WWW.FORWARDAIR.COM 2) There are several transportation services that will pickup and deliver door to door without crating. One that I have used with success is Federal Transport. You may contact them @ WWW.FUNTRANSPORT.COM There is no charge for my assistance with this option. 3) My favorite! You may make your own arrangements and I will assist you anyway I can on this end. This bike can be loaded with ease on to any type of vehicle you send. Again, there will be no charge for my assistance with this option On Feb-13-12 at 19:57:41 PST, seller added the following information: IMPORTANT UPDATE: if you have less than 10 feedback or negative feedback history you must contact me directly before bidding. Failure to comply will result in the cancellation of your bid, and blocked from future auctions.
