As Jaguar was not building convertibles at that time they contracted with Hess & Eisenhardt coachbuilders of Ohio, the premier coachbuilders in the USA, to build this masterpiece. Approximately 893 were built during this period and they are easy to pick out as the convertible top folds deep into the body of the car allowing for a clean lower profile and two badges, designating the Hess & Eisenhardt coach work, located on the front fenders. This particular motorcar has been meticulously maintain both mechanically and cosmetically and virtually can not be distinguished from the day it left Hess & Eisenhardt and has gone only 40,208 pampered miles. It is finished in a flawless English white and has impeccable black Connelly hide leather interior highlighted with perfect burled walnut. It is fitted with a heavy black convertible canvas top that opens and closes with the push of a button. It is fitted with a 5.3L V12 FI SOHC engine which allows for excellent power and handling.
