Vehicle Detail
For sale is this beautiful BMW 750iL luxury sedan. I bought it last year and it's too much car for me. There are some issues with this car. I have had a lot done to it to fix it since purchasing, and there are a couple of things that will need to be looked at. I am selling this, AS IS, at a low reserve because I cannot keep paying the maintenance fees. This car will make someone, with more car know-how (and more $$), very happy. In November 2011, I had a full tuneup done. In April 2011, the Center Support Bearing was repaired/replaced. There is still a transferable Extended Warranty (Route 66 First Street plan) included with this vehicle. It has over $2k left in repair fees on it. The main issue is electrical. The car may need a new starter (coverable by Route 66), as there is a problem when the car sits. The car kind of goes quiet, and only the driver door can be opened with the key. Then you need to start the car to unlock the other doors. It usually starts, but a couple of times over the past month, it hasn't started. But, when I come out an hour or two later, it starts up right away with no problem. It may be a function that the key fob's battery is dead, and it's not "recognizing" that the real key is in the ignition. Another issue may be happening now that it's gotten cold. Sometimes when I turn, it makes a groaning noise. Some of the minor dings are superficial. On the rear passenger door, there is a half-inch scratch, as well as a small dent that seems completely reparable. The buttons that cover the rear passenger window controls have come off. There is a crack on the lower portion of the windshield, but it's been there since I bought it. That said, there are some great things about this car. The color is spectacular. It's estorilblau, a gorgeous metallic blue. It's pretty rare, as it needs to be special-ordered from the factory in Germany. The V12 engine is extremely powerful. The sun roof is great in the summer. The trunk is enormous. I'm not trying to hide anything, so please call and ask questions. I really wish I could afford to get this car to its full beauty. I am asking $500 as a down-payment, with the rest payable when we meet to pass over the title, keys etc. We can meet near my place of work, which is right across the street from my bank. On Jan-16-12 at 15:12:47 PST, seller added the following information: A couple of things I forgot to add... Thanks to a question, I realized that I didn't add my pictures of the interior. They are now added... This car is equipped with a DVD-based NAV system. It had a DVD that didn't match the Midwest, so I found one here on Ebay, and it works nicely. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of the Tomtoms and Garmins (and even a good iPhone GPS), but it's pretty high-tech for a 2001.
