Before you go any further, PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE CASH AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE THIS CAR. Getting tired of relist after relist with winners who cannot come up with the money after their purchase. Enough said.... Original white, 78,000 mile 1970 Dodge Challenger for sale. Original, low mileage, matching number 318 engine and matching number transmission. VIN number matches cowl and rad support numbers. I have the fender tag for the car but no build sheet. RARE Gator grain vinyl top option. Car does run and drive. This Challenger mainly needs paint and body work. Structurally the car is very solid with no frame rot issues. Front crossmember at the torsion bar area is also very solid. Rear rails at the leaf spring area are solid with only some minor surface rust. Front floorboards look to be very solid also. The cowl/firewall area is solid. The front inner fenders are pretty solid only needing a little work on the left hinge area, but solid under the battery tray. (look at picture) Right side inner fender looks fine. Right fender is super solid on the car with no old patchwork being evident. Left fender is almost as nice with just a little bit of rot starting on the lower rear flange and a lower fender dent, but still incredibly nice for an EBody fender. This fender also does not show any evidence of old patchwork being done. Hood looks solid with only a couple dents that will need repaired but not rotted. It will need a pair of hood inserts. Deck lid is solid with a nice clean inside lip, but does have a dent that will need repaired at the center. Car will need both lower 1/4 panel skins or patches, both outer wheelhousings and trunk floor dropoffs along with some trunkfloor patching/replacement ? Both doors will need some patchwork at the bottom. I have a lower door repair section for the drivers side from Year One that was given to me with the car so it does go with it. Front edge of that door also has some dents. There is also a used rear valance without cutouts that goes with the car. Grille is very nice on the car as is the tailight assembly. Now onto the interior. Not a whole lot to do there. Nice original 70 seats that do not need recovered. Seat buns are nice and firm. Carpet is nice and so is the center console and door panels. Big money saver there! It will need a headliner. The dash does have the typical cracks but very respectable if your going to put together a driver for now and do the dash later. It will need the proper radio as it has an aftermarket one in it now. Like I said the car does run and drive but has been sitting for a couple years. There is also a new aftermarket radiator that was put in this car a couple years ago. Has 4 magnum wheels and useable tires with good tread. Your more than welcome to come and look at the car as it is for sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction early if it does sell. Car is very reasonably priced for what is there and what it does and does not need replaced. Big money savings just with the fact it is a running car with nice floors and frame and nice interior.
