Vehicle Detail

1941 Cad. 2 door coupe ! Needs restoration. Ver Rare Car.I picked up this car a year ago with the intention of restoring it, but health issues are going to prevent me from doing this. I purchased it from an older man who put a few years into restoring it and has passed away.I can't tell if it's a Series 61 or 62. He did a lot of work to the interior, adding a new headliner, seat upolstery, door panels, etc. This seems to have been done a few years ago. He also put some effort into the front end as I can see new rubbers in the struts, tie rod ends, etc. Also evidence of new wiring, with unfinished part coiled up under the hood for head lights, etc. The body was preped for paint, no dents, primered and the front clip was taken off to paint the underside of the motor compartment. I have just lightly installed the front fenders and hood for pictures only. Front grill is stright. I have the side fender spears, front and rear. I also have a re-chromed hood middle piece. A box of parts goes with the car. [see pictures] Lighting trim, head lights, window trim, door and window handles. Missing, to the best of my knowledge is rear light glass and a bumper. All the rest of the car seems to be in servicable condition, including the valance under the rear tail section and front grill. It seems someone had installed vinel to the roof section and this was peeled off, leaving the surface rust on the roof. The motor does run, but the gas line is disconnected so I could only get it to run for a short time priming the carb. I was told when I bought it the motor had been gone through and I can see new parts, belts etc. on the motor. Raidator is good. No leaks. Doors open and close smoothly as does the trunk. I have the key but I do not have a title so this car will be sold on a "bill of sale" only. It does have a 6 didget vin. but I do not have that with me now. Car is located in Coarsegold, Ca. California's central Valley. I have tred to discribe this listing to the best of my ability and taken the best pictures I can with what I have. The car is not in driveable condition, tires are old and cracked but hold air, one brake line is leaking, so it will need to be hauled or towed and I can assist in loading. Old Cars Price Guide, August issue books this car in this cond. at $4,500.00+. I would judge it a little higher because some of the work in already done. Sold with NO RESREVE! Very good start for bringing this car back to what it was. Floors are good. Not rusted through, surface rust. There is a small patch or rust through in the trunk. Body is stright. Large Cad. V-8 Motor.
