My mother purchased this car new in late 1979 at Anderson Ford in Kingsport, TN and now due to poor health has reluctantly asked me to sell it for her. This is an all original 1979 Ford Thunderbird 2-Door Coupe. 89,846 original miles. Original Chamois exterior Paint with Burgandy interior. 351 cu. in. V-8 engine. Automatic transmission. Air conditioner, power steering, power brakes and remote control side mirror. The original radio was replaced. My mother was meticulus in keeping the car clean and the interior is extremely nice. Exterior of the car is very nice with some minor scattered surface rust spots. The rust appears to all be surface and does not deeply penetrate the metal. There is also some surface rust on the rear bumper. The rear drivers side trim piece adjacent to the bumper was broken by a vehicle backing into it while parked. (See photo of damage). This will only require the missing part to repair. There is no damage to the adjacent parts. The gas tank is completely rusted out and will not hold any fuel. The car can be started by adding fuel to the jug seen in the picture in the engine compartment. It obviously cannot be driven until the gas tank is replaced. This is a 32 year old car and I am representing it as accurately as I can based on my knowledge. It is being sold without warranty, either expressed or implied, and as is. It starts easily but idles rough, I'm sure it needs a tune-up and probably a carb rebuild and replaced vacume hoses, radiator hoses, belts, etc. Transmission shifts fine.
