Vehicle Detail

If you are looking for a nice Charger project car, here it is. This 68 Charger was originally red with a black interior and a 318 and automatic. It is now limelight green with a 400/727. This is a project car and has been sitting for eleven years, no you can't fly-in and drive it home. Very nice undamaged grill, just needs freshened up, perfect dash pad, no cracks (amazing), nice dash and cluster. The radio is missing, but the bezel is there. All the glass is excellent. The glass and body trim are complete and straight, except the left wheel opening moldings which can be repaired. The tail panel trim and taillights are nice, too. The bumpers are complete and would be good cores, but they do need to be replaced or rechromed. I changed the oil and primed the oil pump, then unhooked the original gas lines and added an electric pump running from a gas can. After checking for spark, etc., I cranked it and it started right up. It ran fine, no knocking, lifter noise, etc. The transmission goes into gear, but I wouldn't drive it until I changed the fluid and seals. The exhaust was replaced just a month before it was parked and is in great shape, but it could use some correct tips. The left fender is bent, but looks pretty solid and is repairable. The right fender, roof, doors, hood and deck lid all have minor damage that is repairable. The left quarter is dinged up and rusty and the right quarter has some rust down low. The floors and trunk are rusty and should be replaced. The very end of the rear rails at the spring mounts are rusty, so you will need partial rear rails. The rockers look good as do the pillars. The core support is OK, but the aprons will need repair at the shock towers. The interior is complete, but the seat covers and carpet need replaced. The door panels are quite nice as are the armrests. Remember this is a project car that needs a full restoration. Assume it will need brakes, suspension parts, etc. The car is sold as-is, where-is and no warranty applies. If you can do some of your own work, you could buy this car, restore it and have a very desirable car for far less than buying a finished turn key car. I do not have a buy-it-now option and will not end the auction early, that is unfair to all the last-minute bidders out there. If you want the car, please bid. I will be happy to store the car for up to 30 days after the close of the auction at no charge, as long as all payment terms are met. I would also be happy to work with your shipper if you need to go that route. I live way out in the boondocks and can take the car to a terminal in Battle Creek or Kalamazoo, MIchigan since that will make the cost of shipping less for you and a lot easier for the shipper. The car will not be released until all payments have cleared. Of course, cash works, too. Please check my feedback, I don't need to cheat anybody. If you have any questions, I will respond promptly. You may inspect the car yourself or have a third party look at it, just let me know.
