Vehicle Detail

Today up for bids is a 1966 Ford Mustang GT Fastback project car. This is a very rare car with many desireable options, but I have too many projects lying around that need finishing. The car is a factory raven black 289 4V (A code), 4 speed, disc brakes, two tone pony interior, GT package with the fastback roof. This car was featured in the March/April 2008 Edition of Legendary Ford Magazine in the "Left for Dead" section. A print of this magazine article will be included with the car. The codes on the car go like this Vin #6T09A125248 (1966 Ford Mustang Fastback, Built in Metuchen, NJ, 225 HP 289 4V) Body-63B (2 door Fastback, luxury) Color-A (Raven Black) Trim-68 (Ivy Gold & White luxury) Date-11K (October 1965) DSO-31 Axle-1 (3.00 ratio) Transmission- 5 (4-speed manual) I am sure the odometer has been around the clock a few times. This car does need everything. All outer sheetmetal will need work. The underside of the car is also rough, needing floors and frame rails. The interior is about the same. The front bucket seats are there along with the pony interior specific door panels and door lights. The rear interior will need a lot of pieces but some of the brackets and trap door are there. The glass is all in the car with the fastback specific rear glass and door glass looking really nice. The dash also still has the correct fog light switch. Under the hood is a 1964 289 2v engine. This engine was stored in a dry shed for around 25 years. The engine rolls over freely but I don't know much more about it. Also included is a 1966 4V intake manifold. The correct 16:1 ratio HCC-AW power steering box is still intact along with the correct master cylinder and disc brake proportioning valve. The GT sway bar is also present. The holes are still there for the fog light wiring in the radiator support and the extra supports are in the car for the dual exhaust. The rear valance has been changed and the fog lights are missing. Check out http://www.kcode.net/GT65-66.htm to check out pictures of all these GT specific facts. This is a very rare color combination for a GT Fastback and is a highly desireable car restored. This car has a lot of potential but will need some TLC. The Magnum 500 rims with tires come with the car. I do not have a title for the car but there are several businesses that can help you get one. Rules and regulations are different in different states so please check this out before bidding. This is the reason for the car being relisted. PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY PLAN ON GOING THROUGH WITH THE PAYMENT AND PICKUP PROCESS! All vin numbers are present along with the door tag. The car is located in Lyndon Station, WI, which is about 50 miles north of Madison right along the freeway. The car rolls freely so loading it won't be a problem. This car is not a restoration for the faint of heart. It will need a lot of TLC. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. You can also contact Aaron @ (608) 495-0279. The vehicle is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Its not often you get to buy a magazine feature car at this price! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!!
