Vehicle Detail
We are selling this low mileage van for our church. It is not in perfect shape but is in decent condition and has a lot of life let in it. Our church has owned and regularly maintained it for the last eleven years. We are only selling it because we can't justify keeping it for the amount of time we use it. We recently just spent over $1,700 at a AAA shop to replace the two front wheel bearings, and all the brake rotors & pads. Tires have great tread also. The van has a rear hitch for towing. To the best of our knowledge, there are no major problems with this van. The rear air works in this van; however, the AAA shop said some rear heater lines need to be replaced for the rear heat to work properly. They estimated the cost for these lines at $250 because of OEM parts. It will need a new rear bumper as the middle part is rusting out of the bumper. Other than these items this van is good to go. We are still using and driving this van occasionally so the mileage may vary and increase compared to what is listed. We are selling this As Is. Also, we have the right to end the auction at anytime as we have it advertised for sale locally. Feel free to ask any questions prior to the end of the auction. On Jun-15-11 at 19:37:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Many have asked questions about whether the lettering on the van is painted on or decals. They are decals and seem to peel off easily. I peeled the word "Church" off to see how noticable it was. It is barely noticable. I will try and add a picture so you can see. The camera (which is really a good one) actually shows it better than you can see it with the naked eye. I have also been asked about rust. The rocker panels have some surface rust and there are a couple of rust spots where it looks like a small ding. Under the drivers door there is actually a small hole in the rocker panel. I can fit one or two fingers in the hole. Inside the wheel wells there is some normal surface rust. Again, I will try and add pictures of both rocker panels and some other scratches and dents so you can see it is nothing extremely major. We are selling this because it sits more than it is used. I went to the church tonight to drive it since it hasn't been driven for about a month. When I started it up I noticed what I believe may be a manifold gasket leak. It's not loud and goes away after it is warmed up within a minute or so, but I think that is what it is. Also, I noticed the gear shifter was a little stiff (again from sitting). It goes into gear fine. The shifter is just a little stiff. I think this could be a cable that just needs greased and freed up better. The last thing I noticed was the tail pipe hanger bracket needs a tack weld. We might be able to get someone to tack this for those of you who are planning on driving this a long distance home. Remember this is a twelve year old van. It was owned by a church which means kids & teens & missions trips & volunteer drivers. We have not detailed this out and it needs a little cleaning. Again, as stated it is not perfect. It has the normal scratches and dings that a 12 year old church would have. Again, I think it is in decent condition for a 12 year old church van and I think it still has a lot of life left in it. Please ask all your questions prior to auction end. We are not inspecting this and you are purchasing this As Is. We do have the title and there is not a lien on the title.
