Vehicle Detail
Fresh out of an 18 year storage is this beautful example of an original 1968 Coronet 440 model, 318 auto, survivor car. Car was purchased out of Missouri in 1993 parked away in a nice dry dark garage here in Pa since then. The last time apparantly the car seen the road was in 93. Interesting enough, there are a couple stickers from 92 and 93 from the Mopar Nationals still in the windshield along with a Missouri inspection sticker from the same time period.. This car is in amazing shape for the year. The exterior of the car still retains the original paint with some dings, scratches and nicks in the car but very very solid. As you see the car cleaned up very nicely and looks great. The only rust on the car is the back lower 1/4 panels on both sides will need a small patch and the front corner of the passenger door on the outside will need a small patch. The trunk floor had a couple small patches welded in many many years ago. Floorboards, framerails, torsion bar crossmember are super solid. Wheelhousings, fenders etc are rustfree. Even the deck lid that is notorious for rotting out is in great shape, along with the top corners of both 1/4 panels near the back window,. Just so solid its incredible.I pulled the back seat out a couple months ago after purchasing it in hopes of finding the build sheet. Yes, there it was. like new, stuffed away in the springs. I also have the fender tag for the car. I included a couple pictures in the listing of the floor area under the rear seat since it was out. Look at that floor. All the original padding, seam sealer, paint, still intact under the seat. I also included in the listing, pictures of the car when I originally went to look at it with 18 years worth of dust on it. Glass is beautiful on the car and so is just about all the trim. Even the outside mirror, door handles, hub caps and vent window chrome look almost like new. Rear bumper looks great for original chrome. Front bumper chrome on top of bumper is worn and don't have much of a shine anymore but it straight and solid. Vinyl top still looks respectable. Couple small splits and some worn spots but very useable. Look at the interior. Beautiful unmolested dash with original working radio and an AM/FM converter. When was the last time you seen one of them. Pictures of the interior speak for themselves!! Underhood unfortunatly was repainted at one time. Looks good but considering the condition of the rest of the car I would bet that underhood was not bad. I'm told the engine, tranny was rebuilt years ago but never driven after being rebuilt, so after sitting all these years, I probably would go through things a bit before driving. Tires look good but once again, after 18 years they have to be dry rotted. The front suspension supposingly was all replaced before being parked and the radiator was recored back then too. I've cranked the vehicle to be sure it turns freely, but have not started it. I've tried all the lights, wipers, washers and they are all in working order. It is a factory A/C car but all the underhood A/C components except for the compressor are missing. I'm not looking to do anything to the car except to flip it as I already have way too many cars. If it doesn;t sell then I'll go ahead and spend some money on spot repairing the couple rust areas, put on a new set of tires and get the car roadworthy and put back up for sale for thousands more. I'm asking for a 1,000.00 deposit on the car within 5 days of auctions end in the form of a wire transfer/bank check/cash (in person). Balance due within 14 days. Car will not be released until all funds have cleared in my bank. Buyer responsible for shipping arrangements and all cost associated with it. I have a free and clear PA title in my name for the car. Car is sold AS-IS with no warranty. You will NOT be dissappointed with how solid this car is. Their only original once and this one has been preserved pretty nicely for being 43 years old! Any questions or concerns please E-mail me. I am not interested in any trades for cars, trucks, real estate, boats, cycles, toys, etc.
