1966 Ford Mustang Convertible REDUCED PRICE We are offering up for sale a fully restored 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible, VIN/6T08T153763. The car has been painted back to its original color of Candy Apple Red and it has a black and white Pony interior. Before restoration the odometer was showing 01010 miles. The odometer now reads 03780 miles. The car has been through a rigorous ‘frame-up’ restoration. All chassis, suspension, body, powertrain, electrical, exterior, and interior parts have been restored to like-new condition. The car shows and drives as it should. This Mustang is currently licensed and insured in Georgia and it has a valid Georgia title. Below is a summary of the car’s condition and restoration work accomplished. Vehicle Equipment and Condition Condition: Vehicle has recently undergone a frame-up professional restoration utilizing new, New Old Stock (NOS), and some specific aftermarket (described below) parts. Exterior Paint: PPG Professional Base/Clear, Candy Apple Red matched to original color specifications. Records indicate this is the original color for this car. Sheet metal is completely rust free and there are no scratches or dents. Chrome and stainless trim pieces are either new, appear new, or are in very fine original condition. Chassis/Frame: Rocker panels, floor-pans, torque boxes, trunk flooring, and inner frame rails are new. Underside of vehicle is treated with “Lizard Skin” to absorb sound and protect from rust. Fuel tank, gas lines, brake lines, and all suspension parts are new. Fuel and brake lines are upgraded to stainless steel. Brakes: The braking system has been upgraded to a modern power disc/drum brake system. The master cylinder is the “dual cylinder” type. The front brakes are power disc and the rear brakes are power drum. All brake components are new. Electrical: The original wiring harness was unwrapped, repaired, and rewrapped with new protective insulation. Condition is as new. Engine: The original 200 cubic inch six cylinder motor was completely disassembled, rebuilt with new internal parts, and was repainted as original. Performance is as new. Ignition is upgraded to electronic type. Radiator and alternator are new. Engine compartment has new paint and has a completely new appearance. Transmission: The original C-4 three-speed automatic transmission was completely disassembled, rebuilt with new internal parts, and was repainted as original. Performance is as new. Shift handle and shift bezel are new. Air Conditioning: A modern R-134A “Classic-Air” A/C and heating system has been installed. All components function properly. Original HVAC system controls are used to operate the system so it has an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) appearance yet functions like a modern system. HVAC control bezel is new. Wheels/Tires: New “KONIG Rewind RWD” wheels are installed with new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Wheels are 14” as original and tires are P 215 60 R-14. Dashboard: Dashboard pad is new OEM. Instrument cluster trim and glove box trim are Pony style and are new. The metal dashboard shell is painted red to match exterior color. The original owner’s manual is included inside the glove box. Windshield wiper switch & knob, headlight switch & knob, ignition switch & cylinder, and cigarette lighter are all NOS. Radio: A new upgraded original appearing AM/FM USA 66 radio is installed with 200amp amplifier and hidden IPOD connection. Door Panels: New OEM style Pony door panels and hardware are installed. Door handles, window cranks, and rear view mirrors are new and OEM. Seats: Front bucket and rear bench seats are recovered with new OEM style Pony material in the original color of black/white. New foam Pony seat buns were installed. Convertible Top/Power Top: A new white convertible top of OEM style was used. Power top system was completely restored with new cylinders, hydraulic lines, switch, and switch bezel. Operation is as new and there are no signs of leaks. Trunk Interior: A new OEM style trunk liner was installed. Original jack, jack handle, and spare tire are all in place. Value assessment: 2010 NADA Classic Car Pricing Guide gives an average to high retail value range for this vehicle (6 cylinder engine, A/C, Pony Interior) of $25,600 to $29,000.
