Up for auction is a brand new 2000 Honda CR500R. This bike was purchased from Pompton Honda on March 30th 2000. It was prepped by the dealer and ridden around their small parking lot by the tech that assembled it. That was the only time it was ever ridden. The purchaser asked the dealer to drain all of the fluids which was done before delivery. For the next 10 years it was stored covered in a heated garage. I was fortunate enough to locate the bike and purchase it just a few weeks ago. I insisted upon pickup that bike be filled with fluids and fired to ensure that it was operational which it is. Included with the sale is the bike as pictured, its original sales folder, sales person's business card, warranty card, dealer bill of sale, sales person delivery checklist, contract, receipt, and honda title. The only imperfection I can find is a 1-2 inch scratch in the right shroud sticker. The bike still has the original coat of cosmeline that comes from the factory in japan. Never been washed or rinsed. Safe investments are tough to find these days. They will never make another Honda like this again. I am not a dreamer. You will need to get the bike shipped from NewJersey (east coast) to California (west coast) and then have it shipped from there. I sold a 1986 ATC 250R missile bike a few months ago and that is what the gentleman did. The best way to do that is through forward air. They have a terminal right in Carson California (LAX). The address is 18055 HARMON AVENUE CARSON,CA 90746. I just got a qoute to ship from the Newark NJ terminal to the LAX (carson CA) terminal is $691 door to door using their supplied metal motorcycle crate(very safe) If you use the buy it now, I will deliver it to the Newark NJ forward air terminal, supply tie down straps/combo locks, and see it off safely.
