fabricwishes Store 1988 Ford Ranger Extended Cab XLT Pick Up Truck AS IS Up For Auction is a 1988 Ford Ranger Pick up Truck . This truck will have to be towed. It has a broken brake line and cannot be driven until this is repaired. It was purchased about 5 years ago by my son with the intent to restore it to be used to bring things back and forth to the family cottage. It was oil sprayed before it was parked. The box sides need some work as can be seen in the pictures, but the cab is in decent shape. Near as I can tell the the frame is not rusted. The interior is really nice for the age of the truck. The seats, door pads etc are excellent. The truck was purchased because it only had 130, 000 KM when it was purchased. It ran nice ,and we have started it a few times each year to keep the motor lubricated. If you already have one and want some decent parts this may be the truck for you. If you are capable of doing body work and want to refinish the box it may also be a good buy for you as the rest of the truck is decent. After 5 years of being mostly parked you will have to assume you will need to replace all the brakes and the exhaust has seen better days. You will need new tires if you are planning to put it back on the road. The truck is Located north of Havelock Ontario and I will consider delivering the truck for a fee depending on the destination if towing is not an option for you. As a rough estimate I believe you could have yourself a decent low mileage truck if you wanted to put 2 or 3 grand into putting it back on the road in decent condition. All the glass is intact. As I recall the AC needed to be recharged. I did check the AC compressor and it was operating fine the last time I checked. The battery has been stored inside and still held a charge this summer when I last trickle charged it. Please consider that this truck is being offered as a restoration project or "for parts". It is not currently road worthy and has been parked for a few years! The Wreckers offered 300 for the truck but it would be a shame to see it go to scrap IMHO.
