Up for auction is this one beautiful 1956 Chrysler Imperial. This California black plate car isn't driven daily, but it definitely would qualify as a daily driver. The 354 Hemi purrs like new and the 3 speed push-button Torqueflite automatic works perfectly. Always garaged in the 8 plus years that we've owned it. The Imperial rolls on new BF Goodrich radials with 3" whitewalls from Coker tires. Other recent improvements include: new mufflers, belts, hoses, battery and tune-up. The white finish is an older repaint, but it's very presentable. Not as shiny as new paint, but appropriate for a survivor such as this. Power windows, power seat, heater, defroster, lights and all gauges work perfectly. The chrome is in great shape. The only pitting that I see is on the horn ring that I bought on ebay for $400 bucks a few years ago. It will need new carpet and you'll probably want to replace the vinyl seat covers that were done before I acquired her. The headliner is stained but in one piece. Except for one split seam on the driver's door, the door panels are beautiful. There's some paint cracking around the grille surround. Possibly evidence of an old repair. I will include a nice straight front piece in the deal. This has been an extremely fun old car to own for 2 reasons. It's a pleasure to drive and everyone loves to go for a ride in the huge back seat. We are only selling because of space concerns and some new hobbies that are demanding cash.
