Bidding on my 1961 Corvette roadster, This car is a beautiful driver quality vette,it is powered by a very stout 434 ci. stroker, and is shifted with an equally stout Tremec 5 speed manual. the car retains all of its original character, with a modern drivetrain. As I said, this car is a driver, it is not a bloomington car. it is not a matching number engine and trans, however, if you are looking for a very nice driver this is a great car. the frame shows no signs of rust, and is rock solid. the original positraction rear end is in place and functions quite well. the brakes are great and stop straight and true. the transmission shifts perfectly, clutch grabs firm and has absolutly no slippage whatsoever. the motor was built by the previous owner. it has less than 2000 miles on it. it is a stroked and bored 400 small block, with angle plug 2.02 aluminum heads, the intake is a holley strip dominator, and the carb is an 800 cfm. double pumper with man. choke. the tires are newer, with less than 500 miles on them. the paint looks pretty good, there are some blemishes on the hood though. the chrome is quite nice with an excellent shine. all the die-cast chrome pieces are excellent and pit-free. the windshield is perfect and the side glass is very nice as well. the interior shows pretty well, there are no rips in the seats, the carpet is excellent, the dash pad is newer and in great cond, but it has come loose in a few spots and will need to be glued down. the gauges are in very good cond, but are not wired in, rather, there is an aftermarket Tach and mech. oil pressure gauge. also the heater box and core are not in the car, I do have a heater box for the car, but if someone wanted to put it back they would need a heater core and cables. I will include the heater box with the car. there is no soft top assy with the car, there is however an original hardtop, it shows well, and has good side windows, the back window has minimal stress cracks and still has very good visibility, I would never change it, but if someone wanted a show car, then I am sure it would need replaced, otherwise, it is better than most original tops I have seen. the car currently has no wiper motor installed, I have one, and it goes with the car, I dont know if it works or not. the car rides quite well and goes down the road very straight. It could use an alignment, as it has a front end vibration after 50 Mph. this car shifts like a brand new car, and has an outrageous amount of horsepower (485hp.) it has a nice cam lope sound, but will sit and idle at 1000 rpm and is very docile as long as you stay off the gas. the radiator is a custom piece, 5 row staggard core. Car is above average driver, not perfect, but nice. an excellent car for someone who wants an affordable C-1 vette that you dont hve to be afraid to drive, needs a few things here and ther, but it is turnkey as it sits. the car can be seen and heard running on you-tube, just search "my 61 vette" feel free to ask any questions, I will be happy to answer to the best of my ability, deposit of $1,000 USD required via pay-pal within 48 hours of close of auction, balance due within 7 days after close of auction. thanks.
