This is a 1973 Ford Mustang Mach-I Fastback/Sportsroof project car that I just found. It was last licensed in 2008 and retains its clear Ohio Certificate of Title. Odometer reading was posted as actual 35,329 miles the last time the car was sold in 2006. Odometer now shows 35,652 miles but I am guessing it has more based on condition. The car had the original 351 Cleveland engine removed and is now missing but it looks like most of the engine parts are still with the car, along with the correct C-6 automatic transmission. Boxes of original parts came with the car--mostly engine items. This car also retains the 9" Ford rear-end, which is correct for a Mach-I. The trunk floor, floorboards, hood and rear edge of decklid are very rusty. The rest of the exterior sheetmetal is much better but not perfect. Structurally, the inner front aprons look very nice--front/rear frame rails and torque boxes are also pretty good. The front valence is off but did come with the car and is included. Interior is rough but does retain the original center gauge cluster and automatic floor shifter. Driver seat worn, passenger seat incorrect, back seat very nice of course. Windshield is cracked but rest of glass looks good. All the tires match including the spare, and are mounted on stock steel wheels. All four hubcaps came with car and are pictured with the spare and original jack/lug wrench. This is a rough car but is worthy of restoration, based on it was a high-end car in the day.
