Up for No Reserve auction is my wife’s 1999 Jaguar XK8 convertible. She is the second owner of this white with black leather interior gorgeous convertible. She has owned it since May, 2006 starting with 73,020 miles from out of Ohio. It now has 80,845 miles on it. I put new Perelli 245/50 on it in 2008 & She drove it about 3 times last year. I told her it’s time for some one else to enjoy “Kitty” and put her on eBay! We took it out of storage. She had her mechanic put in the battery & start it up, and we didn’t even put insurance on it. It will have 80,845 miles when you get the car. Anyway, I told her in May, it’s going on eBay. When I say NO RESERVE. I mean no reserve. Not like some of these other clowns on eBay who say “No Reserve” and start the auction at $12,000.00 Obviously, the reserve is $12k. NOT on this one, it’s starting at $1.00 and the high bidder will own the car! She has the harman kardon stereo, Traction control along with all the other standard options that came with this gorgeous import. FYI (For those of you looking at Kelly or N.A.D.A) I have been harping on eBay for years to make auctions, auctions! But they don’t listen to me. The car is a very strong runner. It has always been stored winters and never seen a snow flake. Always garaged. I have all the maintenance records since we owned it. It has always had Amsoil in it. This is a great Jag! We are a no smoking, no pet home, so the car is clean and smoke free. Everything in the car and on the car works. EXCEPT!! The cup holder latch does not work. The glove box latch is off but the glove box still works and latches closed. And the rear driver side speaker has a “buzz” when the bass is turned up on the music. That’s it. And if this bothers you, for about 50 bucks the glove box is fixed. If you need a cup holder that closes, for around $125.00 it can be fixed. And so on. It is an 11 year old car. So there will be a couple of nicks and dings as shown in the pictures. Oh, by the way, the top just had a UV/water proof added last year, and man does it repel water. See pictures! It comes with all the manuals & key with key fob that works great. If you have less than 5 feedback, you must contact me first or the bid will be deleted. As stated, the car is 11 years old and the warranty ran out a long time ago. It is sold as is! If you want a Jag XK8 with a warranty, it will cost you about $90,000.00 10% down due within 24 hours of the end of the auction with PayPal, if not, the car WILL be relisted. I have had an extended warrenty on this car the whole time I owned it, I guess that was worth it. Kitty has been pampered, and to the "Doctor" more that once for a checkup. I'm learning more now about Jags than I did the 5 years I have owned one! After the first question, you can't post them, so I have put them in the ad. Dear jorgegeo, very good , yes the cam tensioners top side have been replaced. you probably saved the engine. all tensioners on all 400 cu. in. ford Jag engines from 1997 -2002 eventually fail causing the piston to engage the valves. totally destroying the engine. The original water pumps have a plastic impeller that disintegrates which then pieces become lodged in engine water jackets ,causing engine over heating. there is no fix when this happens . Again time for a new engine. Check out jags xj8 and xh8 cars have same engine. 1997 thru 2002 on ebay they are discribed as not running. they sell very cheep. thanks for your reply I am interested in your Jag. - uxxx1 Did this answer your question?
