This car is a rare barn find. The car has been stored in a barn in California for over 20 years. At that time a restoration project was started. The car had all of the bumpers and body trim removed. It was reported there was some rust in the floor panels. These rust areas were replaced any body work that needed done was done at that time. There some beginning rust areas in one of the rear wheel wells, The other rear wheel well has been repaired using fiberglass. The car was painted with the factory white color. That is as far as it got. The original plastic cover disintegrated from old age leaving the car exposed to barn dust and spider droppings. Also there are some spots in the paint where items had been set on the car. The paint cleaned up pretty well and could be serviceable however as all trim is removed it would be a good time to redo the paint. The interior is partially removed and it needs to be replaced. The top has two holes on each side where the top bows protruded through. The top framework appears to be in very good condition. The front disc brakes are frozen and it would be advisable to replace all the brake components. The exhaust system needs partial replacement. The engine turns freely and sounds like there is fairly even compression. Due to a time restraint and equipment malfunction only one cylinder was checked and it was 180 psi. New plugs have been installed as well as a new battery. There is a new fuel tank and fuel pump. Not installed. The wheels have been sanded and painted with new tires installed. Most of the trim is accounted for including one new rear bumper still factory wrapped. It appears the engine has been changed as the VIN shows it as a 289 4 Barrel with factory air conditioning. The present engine is a 289 2 barrel with no air. There is an under dash air conditioner but I am not sure if it is OEM or an after market unit. The car is located in Pleasanton, CA.
