Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, 350 V8, 3 speed automatic. The 350 engine is not the original engine and the transmission is not original. My father bought this car for my nephew several years ago (approximately 2004). My newphew decided that he wanted an import car and the Camaro has basically been driven only once or twice a month since. The car sits as it was purchased. We have not done any work to this car and I can not provide any pictures of the "before" body work. A previous owner did a home garage restoration and paint job and the body work is not professionally done. Sanding marks, filler, and panel patch work are visible here and there. There is one small rust spot on the hood above the battery area. It has Super Sport badges, but I don't believe that is a true SS car and I am not claiming that it is. Some Camaro enthusiasts have told me that it was an "early 69" built car and that the factory did not mark the cowl tag with the X code on some SS models, so they make the argument that you can not prove or disprove that it is a true SS. Regardless, I am not claiming that it is an SS. The Camaro runs and drives. It has 4 wheel drum brakes and the braking is poor quality. I drive the car all the time, but if you were to panic stop you might be in trouble. This is my disclaimer: the brakes need work and YOU WILL NEED TO PICK THE CAR UP WITH A TRAILER (OR HAULER) FOR ME TO SELL IT. I am sure the brakes could be repaired, but I do not have the time to do the work. Included in the auction is a set of front and rear shoes that my father bought for the car, but never installed. Also included in the auction is a new in the box, black OEM replacement grill from Classic Industries. I will do my best to answer questions about the car, but it make take about a day to respond. Good luck and thanks for looking. I hope she finds a good home! Important Auction Details! Please Read Before Bidding! I am not hard to deal with, but due to experiences in the past I have to post the following: To reiterate...due to the brake issues, YOU WILL NEED TO PICK THE CAR UP WITH A TRAILER (OR HAULER) FOR ME TO SELL IT. The car will be sold in GA with a Bill of Sale (there is no title). We bought the car on a bill of sale and never had a GA title. The car is registered to me and has a current tag and insurance. GA does not require a title on older vehicles I am not trying to make this car sound a like it is perfect car...it needs some work and the the auction price reflects this. If you are uncomfortable buying a car by looking at pictures, please inspect it in person before bidding. A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 is due by Paypal within 2 days of auction end. The balance is due by Cash when you pick the car up. If you do not leave the deposit within 48 hours of auction close then the auction is null and I will have the right to relist. If you get here and don't want to buy the car, that is fine but your deposit is non-refundable. This deposit covers my Ebay fees and my time for taking the car off the market if you decide not to buy it. You must pay the balance in person and pick the car up within 1 week of auction close, or the auction is null and I have the right to relist. The Camaro is sold "As Is" Your bid is acknowledgement that you agree to these terms The mileage listed in the ad (80,950) is what is on the odometer...This may not be accurate The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to terminate the auction at any time Body Details The quarter panels have been replaced There is some visibile filler on the passenger-side rocker panel There are some small rust areas in the floor pans (mainly passenger pans) Part of the trunk (above the fuel tank) has been patched (not professionally) Body VIN 124379N510386 Cowl Tag Data Line 1: ST 69 12437 NOR209411 Line 2: TR 715 53 E Line 3: 09 C Engine Details Engine block casting number: 3970014 Engine code TO216CT Power steering Power brakes No air conditioning Holley single plane intake Accell distributor Edelbrock carburetor Interior Details New aftermarket restoration seat covers New aftermarket door panels New aftermarket dash panel Need carpet
