65 Mustang convertible barn find, has been in storage for 21 years.This a great car for restoration because it is complete and still has the original 289 V8 and auto transmission, the car also has power steering and a power top.The body has the typical rust it will need new inner and outer rockers, floor,front torque boxes.The right rear frame rail is good,the left needs some repair in the torque box and by the rear spring shackle.The trunk floor needs a couple small patches.The rear 1/4s have been patched but should be replaced.The doors have some rust on the bottom but are repairable.Hood and trunk lid are solid very good.Left front fender is good, the right needs to be replaced along with the front and rear valances.All these parts are easy to get from any mustang parts vendor.The front frame rails and shock towers are in very good condition.A little rust in the front aprons by the battery, easily repairable.The good news is the engine runs,the gas tank is shot so i connected a lawn mower tank to it and it runs well,the carb leaks.The transmission works as well as the power steering.The power top works great and the top frame is in excellent condition,the canvas is ripped and will need replacing.The brakes do not work they will need rebuilding.The tires are dry rotted and not safe.There is no exhaust or muffler.There is a dent in the front of the oil pan.Seat belts are rusty and seats need upholstery.Car has some sag in the middle so doors don't close very well.There is no battery included with car.Still has the original door tag that matches the vin stamped in the body.Tag decodes as follows BODY 76A COLOR Y SILVER BLUE TRIM 22 BLUE VINYL DATE 24T JUNE 24TH 65 DSO 13 NEW YORK TRANS 6 C-4 AUTO.
