A great base for a cool restoration project, customization, club racer, or just an affordable daily driver. This was the last year for the original Hurricane F1 model before Honda came out with the F2 in 1991. Here's what I know about the bike - I purchased it from a friend/business associate who is dying of cancer - He bought it years ago from a customer of his. The bike originally came from Arizona but ended up here in Michigan. His son had played around with it on and off but never registered it for the street so it spend the last few years just getting fired up and run around the neighborhood or an occasional late night ride. My friend just wanted it out of his garage so his wife doesn't have to deal with it after he passes so that's how I ended up with it. I have a clear Michigan title in my name for the bike. 10% of the sale price is being donated to Save The Children. The good - The bike starts and runs nice. It shifts through all the gears as it should and brakes are decent. Most of the lights and horn work with the exception of the headlight low beam which is burned out. I just installed a new battery in it. The engine sounds great and there are no oil or coolant leaks. The stock exhaust is in very good condition. The bad - well, just look at the pictures! Obviously it is missing body panels and the ones that are there all have some degree or another of cracks, chips, scrapes, etc. The bike needs tires. The front is weather cracked and the rear is quite worn. There is a dent in the gas tank and the non OEM seat cover is ripped. Overall, this is a great running bike and just needs a new owner to show it some love! Please look at the pictures and let me know if there are any questions you may have. A $100.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction and payment in full is due within 7 days. Cash is preferred but I will accept PayPal but there will be an additional 3% fee. I am moving soon so the winning bidder will need to pick the bike up by February 20th. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs and arrangements. I do get over to the east side of Michigan for work and could possibly arrange delivery during the week to the Detroit or Flint area for a small fee.On Feb-04-19 at 08:27:20 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the choke cable is broken at the handlebar lever. It still works, it just needs to be pulled by hand.
