Vehicle Detail
1975 Honda Trail 90 You are bidding on a 1975 Honda Trail 90 Motorcycle. It has 11,943 miles on the odometer. This was a gift from my father-in-law and I intended to restore it, but never got to it and now I am too old and have no desire to do so. My father-in-law bought this in Texas in March of 1992. I have an owner signed Texas title that was never transferred. I also have a Bill of Sale that proves the motorcycle was legally purchased and a Texas registration that expired in June of 1991. The VIN on the motorcycle matches the VIN on the Title, the Bill of Sale and the expired registration. As you can see by the photographs it is in rough shape. The tires are dry rotted and some of the plastic parts are broken and one piece is held together with a piece of riveted aluminum that can be seen in the photographs. The seat is in decent shape with no tears or rips. The air breather is present and not cracked. I am no kind of motorcycle expert, but I believe it to be basically complete, but every part will need work. I believe it ran when my father-in-law bought it, but I have never heard it run and he is no longer around to ask. The compression sounds good when you kick it, but I have not tested it. I know that I can part it out and get way more out of it than I am starting the bidding at, but at this point I just want to get rid of it. If it doesn't sell, then I will start parting it out. I am fairly positive the engine alone is worth what I am starting the listing for. Please look at the photographs. They are accurate and of the motorcycle you will be getting. Feel free to ask any questions you might have. The buyer will be provided with the signed Texas title (which might be a collector's item in itself) and the expired registration. It also still has the Texas license plate. You should bid on this as a parts only or collector bike, because I cannot make any guarantee that you will be able to get it registered in whatever state you located in. I will not ship this motorcycle. The buyer will be free to pick it up locally or I can deliver it between Athens, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio for a small fee. The buyer will be responsible for any the taxes due in whichever ever state to register the vehicle in, if it is able to be registered, to which no guarantees are made. On Jan-27-19 at 19:32:05 PST, seller added the following information: In my original description I said the Motorcycle was basically complete and that I am not expert. After a little research, I have figured out that the clutch cable (I think that's what it is) is missing along with the lever (visible in the photographs). The right lever...the brake...doesn't pull, so its probably seized up. And and ignition part....looks like a transformer along with the cover is missing (also visible in the photographs). I just want to make sure anyone bidding knows what I know.
