1998 Lexus LS400 turn key vehicle, Clean CarFax, Arizona Car, lots of highway miles, smoke free home Initial listing was ended because my other car broke down and I needed to use this one. I bought this Lexus in the summer of 2016 with 234k miles from a mechanic who was using it as a weekend getaway vehicle. This is an Arizona vehicle with zero rust or other issues caused by harsh winters. There are no error codes and no leaks. The reason for the sale is the purchase of an ultra luxury LS430 a few months ago. Initially, I was going to keep both cars, yet I find myself commuting only in the LS430. I still take the LS400 for a drive every week to keep the fluids going and will do so until it sells. My brother wanted the car and then he found an excellent UL LS430, so the LS400 ended up here on eBay. For the vast majority of the time I have owned the car, it has been my primary commuter car and then my only vehicle. Since I drive a lot, it had to be maintained promptly and by a professional. The car is in better shape today than when I bought it. It handles better and it is more comfortable than cars with 1/3 of the mileage. The sound system is fantastic. Everything works. Car drives straight as an arrow and the tire wear pattern proves it. It also proves the vehicle was never in an accident. I have used exclusively Amsoil Synthetic oil and Amsoil filters. After 300k, I used the Signature plus series oil and the 15k oil filter with 0.2 micron particle filtration. The engine sounds and performs incredibly well. I only used premium gas from top tier gas stations. I have also used fuel injector cleaning products regularly. The transmission shifts perfectly, the fluid is nice and pink. Moving from P to D, the car does not jerk. It idles without shaking. This indicates both transmission and engine mounts are still good.A/C blows very cold and it performed flawlessly in triple digits temperatures. Freon level is where it should be. All work was performed by ASE certified mechanics using mainly OEM parts. 01/09/2019 318560 milesBattery replaced under warranty. New battery has a date of 12/18. Still 2 years and 4 months left on the battery warranty. 12/19/2018, 317657 miles Lower oil pan sealer replacement. Used Lexus sealer. Installed a copper washer on the oil drain plug. Engine flush done using Amsoil’s product. Oil and filter changed, used Amsoil Signature Plus and 15k filter. 50 point inspection performed. Everything is either very good or excellent. 08/23/2018, 312630 miles Replaced all brake pads (Akebono ceramic), brake sensors (Beck Arnley), discs (Centric), struts (KYB), strut boots (KYB), coils (Mog) 06/27/2018, 306806 miles PCV valve and grommet replacement, used OEM parts 06/20/2018, 306043 miles Engine Coolant flush. Used Toyota extended life antifreeze, good for up to 100k miles 05/16/2018 New battery with a 3 year warranty, purchased at O’Reillys. Had both the battery and alternator tested when I went back there to replace the newly purchased battery due to an issue it had. Battery connectors were cleaned. 03/27/2018, 297736 miles Replaced all spark plugs. Used OEM parts. 03/22/2018, 297156 miles Engine valve covers gaskets replaced (left and right), used Lexus parts. 293k miles installed 4 brand new Michelin defender tires at Discount tire. Rotated every 5k miles, never had to be repaired. Even wear on all tires and all grooves. Full spare has same brand of tire, brand new, never used. 12/20/2017, 288050 miles Power steering flush Brake system flush 08/10/2017, 274125 miles Timing belt replacement, including Idler pulley 1, idler pulley 2, tensioner, water pump, housing gasket. All Lexus parts. Throttle body was cleaned. 05/24/2017, 264489 miles Serpentine tensioner pulley and belt replacement, aftermarket parts 4/5/2017 Refinished lower gray portion of front bumper cover. Refinished mirrors 03/30/2017 Front windshield replacement, used aftermarket glass. All other glass is still original 03/30/2017 New key purchased and programmed at the dealer. Battery replaced in the the other key. 03/22/2017 Installed new tint. Suntek CXP carbon series, USA made. 18% on the back windows, 35% front windows. All legal here in AZ. 09/2016Bought brand new floor mats from the dealer Previous owner replaced alternator and radiator (both Denso). Additional details: windshield has a small crack all the way over to the passenger side Driver seat leather has a few cracks (won’t matter if you use the covers) very minor sip from steering, will go a long time before it needs attention, would not fix even if I kept the car, no noises or friction, no drips on garage floor Driver side mirror does not fold.Rear left passenger door does not lock or unlock from the key or the driver controls. It has to be done by hand outside temp display is stuck on -22could use new wiper bladesabout 20k miles ago, the catalytic converter code came up. Since my zip code is emissions exempt, I opted to use CataClean. It has paid off, the code has been staying off longer and longer. The code is currently OFF, there are no warning lights on the dashboard. Replacing the part with OEM is not worth it and the cheap ones they install at a place like MadHatter do not last very long.right side of the rear window tail light is burned outthe inside has been detailed, the outside will need a bath by the time it gets to you. It's very hard to keep a black car looking shiny in the desert. The title is clear and in my name.
