Vehicle Detail

Transmission Failure.... (5 speed W5A Mercedes transmission)THIS CAR IS NOT DRIVE ABLE it will need to be hauled away /trailered. You can fire it up and move it around but if you try to drive it according to a transmission mechanic I spoke to what ever blockage is causing a problem will cause it to quit pulling. If you stop the car turn off the engine then crank it back up the transmission will start pulling again so you can move it but the same thing will happen again if you try to take off down the street. This is my 2005 Chrysler 300C with 5.7 Hemi MSDI am ball parking the figures mentioned her as didn't save the receipts. I was not looking to document anything as I had no plans to do anything other than enjoy my car, The car has practically new tires Toyo on the 18" rims $800+ I did not like the brake fade if your driving aggressively so I installed EBC Performance Slotted and Dimpled Rotors as well as new EBC track day performance pads for overall 30% greater stopping power. $600 The battery is only a few months old and was the best one available $200 Produces a little more brake dust but the improvement in stopping power is worth it.Car has a trailer hitch but I never really used it, plan was to pull my ski boat which has not been in the water in years. about $120 mount and another $50 or so for hitch harness and ball. The body is very clean and the engine well its a 5.7 Hemi and its a beast. If the transmission had not failed while on a trip I would not be listing the car. OK whats wrong with the car:Transmission as mentioned aboveA little bushing noise in the front suspension but the tires are wearing evenly no toe in or out issues.Radio Navigation joystick is broken, this is a known issue with this radio you can get a replacement Joystick installed for around $300 bucks or buy one and put it in yourself for around $200The windshield has a scrape on the driver side that was caused during an ice storm by the wiper. The carpet is dirty and could use a good cleaning or replaced. The front seat leather is a little sun damaged due to age.The rear seats look new. There is a dimple in the roof at the corner of the sunroof... was that way when I got the car years ago and the sunroof does not leak. The chrome trim on the inside passenger front door card is starting to bubble. The rims have scrapes from parallel parking next to curbsThe black coating on the wiper arms is pealingThe roof panel rubber insert at the panel seam is a little loose at the rear on the passenger side. I really love this car and hate to part with it but I have a company car, a truck, a motorcycle and a 66 Chevy I plan to be buried in so just do not need a project. This is not a new car it has the blemishes you would expect with a car of its age. I've purchased two cars off ebay one was as described one was not.I am trying to be honest, so posted a lot of pictures but is was overcast and raining. I am in Memphis and the car is in Chattanooga so additional pictures on request will require my getting local assistance to get them. This is the first time I've listed an item myself ... have always been a buyerBlue book is about $4700 (dealers want 6k to 8k) you can pick up a used trani for around $400, this is a solid car you could get going cheep. Personally I'm too darn old to do it, my home is too far away from it and I don't have time. If this doesn't sell I will have someone put a used trani in it and list it again for more. On Jan-02-19 at 17:50:38 PST, seller added the following information: Additional note:The tire brand is Yokohama.... I think I said Toyo in error when writing the add.I found the receipt for the tires they are Yokohama Avid Ascend P225/60R18price was 783.11 out the door mileage a purchase was 103,176 so the tires have 9353 miles on them. I have 1 key for the car but, have ordered un programmed uncut blanks that will be given to the new owner. The key heads include a 4 button remote (lock, unlock, open trunk and, panic).I have the owners manual and the manual for the Navigation system. The accident listed on car fax: I was lightly hit from the rear by an SUV with a big towing ring on its front bumper. The only damage was the rear bumper cover and associated parts. The parts were replaced (it just made a hole in the bumper cover where the ring went through it, it was so far to one side it missed the actual bumper frame under the cover). I found a registration paper from the first owner too so the buyer will know who purchased the car new. I've been looking and it is apparently harder to find a 300C with 5.7 Hemi with the NAV system 6 CD changer with XMSAT Radio and sunroof like this one. FYI: The newest 300s do not have a CD player at all, I didnt know you could get a 300C with a V6 but you can.
