We bought the car just over a year ago from the original owners (an elderly couple that moved across country and chose not to take it with them). They had all the seats and upholstery replaced just before we bought the car. In the last year, we got a brand new key fob for the car, and just replaced all 4 tires 3 months ago. The very expensive Prius battery was replaced in February and still has a warranty until that time. Car has always run great and gets amazing gas mileage. We went to smog it in November and it will not pass smog as it needs a new Catalytic Converter. In other states it is around $250.00 but in California due to the regulations (must have a CARB Catalytic Converter) it is $2500.00. We decided we do not want to replace it. If you live in California, Please NOTE: It will NOT pass smog. (So DO NOT bid Unless you want to replace the catalytic converter, or you want to use for parts only). If you live in a nearby state (we are in Southern California) such as Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, this would be a great car for you. Tags went out at end of November and we paid for a 2 month extension to sell the car. So tags will expire in January. We have clean title in Hand and the car does drive. But You may want to have towed due to the catalytic converter. Blue book on the car is around $3300.00. The New tires and Battery are worth that alone. Must pick up or arrange for your own delivery.
