Vehicle Detail
HERE IS A HARD TO PART WITH VERY RARE 1967 FORD MUSTANG FASTBACK T5 EXPORT FROM VIETNAM. THIS CAR WAS BROUGHT BACK TO THE U.S. BY AN AMERICAN SOLDIER. GARAGE STORED SINCE THE EARLY 1980s. ONLY 150 1967 T5 FASTBACKS WERE EVER MADE SO YOU CAN IMAGINE HOW MANY ARE STILL IN EXISTENCE TODAY WORLD WIDE. ORIGINALLY HAD A 289 4 SPEED IN IT. CURRENTLY THERE IS NO ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION IN THIS CAR SO IT IS READY FOR YOU TO INSTALL YOUR FAVORITE REBUILT OR CRATE ENGINE OF YOUR CHOICE. THE FACT THAT IT IS SET UP FOR A FOUR SPEED ENABLES YOU TO INSTALL ANOTHER CLUTCH SET UP OR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THERE WAS SOME RESTORATION STARTED ON THIS CAR AT SOME POINT. THERE ARE NEW COOPER COBRA TIRES ALL THE WAY AROUND, NEW LOWER FRONT VALANCE AND RADIATOR SUPPORT, NEW CARPET, NEW INNER DOOR HANDLES, NEW INSTRUMENT CLUSTER HOUSING AND NEW FRONT FLOOR PANS. THE ORIGINAL MUSTANG RIMS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE. THE INTERIOR IS PRETTY NICE WITH MINOR AGE WEAR. THE HEADLINER HAS A COUPLE OF DAMAGED AREAS. THE SEATS ARE OUT OF A MUSTANG BUT NOT ORIGINAL TO THIS CAR. PASSENGER SEAT HAS SOME WEAR. THIS CAR HAS MINIMAL RUST AS IT'S BEEN IN STORAGE FOR NEARLY 35 YEARS. THERE IS A TINY DING IN THE AREA OF THE PASSENGER DOOR HANDLE. THE HOOD AND TRUNK HAVE SOME RUST AROUND THE EDGES. THE TRUNK HAS THE ORIGINAL FUEL TANK IN IT STILL AND YOU CAN SEE SOME OLDER RESTORATION REPAIRS ALONG THE FRONT EDGE OF IT. THIS CAR WAS EQUIPPED WITH POWER BRAKES. IT HAS FRONT DISC BRAKES AND REAR DRUMS WHICH ALL NEED TO BE RESTORED. IT DOES HAVE A TILT STEERING WHEEL INSTALLED AND I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL IF YOU NEED IT. UNDERNEATH THE CAR IS SOLID WITH USUAL WEAR. NO EXHAUST. I HAVE THE DRIVESHAFT THAT CAME OUT OF THIS CAR. THERE IS NO RADIO OR HEATER CORE. THE SIDE WINDOWS AND BACK GLASS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. THE FRONT WINDSHIELD HAS A CRACK IN IT AND A SMALL CRACK WHERE A PEBBLE MIGHT HAVE HIT IT. THE BODY OF THIS CAR IS PRETTY GOOD CONSIDERING ITS AGE. SOME MINOR RUST ON THE BACK BOTTOM OF THE PASSENGER QUARTER PANEL. PLEASE CHECK OUT THE IMAGES AND FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE. THIS CAR IS LOCATED IN TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA. On Dec-05-18 at 16:37:01 PST, seller added the following information: Just wanted to first say that I appreciate everyone's interest in my Mustang. I am going to let the auction take it's course and I appreciate the offers. This is a very restore worthy car and I want to mention some things that were not covered previously. They may seem small but I try to be thorough when describing anything I offer. The interior is not bad at all but some of the chrome parts do have wear from age. The center console is just resting on the hump as it is not attached yet. The center console also has a tiny chip on the ashtray lid. The center console light in back has a new lens. The back seat has slight wear but is pretty nice over all. The latches that are on the left and right side of the interior walls for the rear seat are missing. There are no seat belts up front and the rear ones just have the outer straps which are tucked under the rear seat. I have seat belts for this car but they are old and ugly. The passenger front fender where it bolts on underneath has deteriorated so a replacement or repair will be needed before it can be bolted down. Just a wire under there holding it in place for now. The driver's side fender where it bolts on is fine however the little insert that is in the frame that the bolt screws into is not there. The wiring harness to this car is old and I would think you would want to replace that anyway. Of course this car will need the door area weatherstripping replaced. Passenger mirror is missing. Engine bay appears solid and POR15 was applied to most of it. Minor surface rust for the most part along the bottom in places and where I already mentioned it before. New lug nuts all the way around. I'm sure there's something I've missed and most of this stuff is minor. Please keep in mind this is being sold for restoration and will make a fantastic ride once brought back to life. Thanks again for everyone's interest. On Dec-06-18 at 06:11:41 PST, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention that there are new hood hinges installed and there are rear air shocks still working that were installed over 30 years ago. I'm not thrilled in the way the air lines were routed though so if you keep them I'm sure that you can do a better job with installing them. There are going to be a few old parts included which may be of use. Man it's hard parting with this car.On Dec-07-18 at 10:24:05 PST, seller added the following information: Correction on the description of the lower passenger fender problem. There are 2 bolt up places for the fender between the door and the wheel well on the bottom under the car. The bolt closer to the wheel is holding the fender in place. The hole near the door is damaged and will need repair.
