2005 Suzuki GSX-R1000This GSX-R1000 was purchased new by a retired engineer who wanted to go club road racing and use it for track days. After break-in miles on the street, a thorough conversion to track bike started with the addition of Sharkskinz fiberglass bodywork. Jordan Engineering, a well-regarded Southern California speed shop, tuned the engine, resulting in 172hp at the rear wheel with a healthy 84 ft-lbs of torque (see dyno chart in the photo gallery). In all, it has covered approx. 4000 miles from new, shows no crash damage (a recent tip-over while putting it on the rear stand resulted in minor scuffs to the right side and a broken clutch lever end, see photos). Included in the sale is the lightly used stock fairing nose/headlight and front sidepanels. The bike currently rolls on Marchesini 16.5" wheels and is sold with a selection of new 16.5" Dunlop/Pirelli slicks (6 front, 4 rear), that while older are still pliable. The stock 17" wheels are also included for fitment of current tires.
