This car in a front end collision and no airbags were deployed. The Cover bumper, bumper support, coolings, LH fender and hood were replaced! With the rebuilt title you can insure and register the car just as a clean title. This Focus ST was fixed the right way and no short cuts were taken if you come see the car you will not even be able to tell that this car was ever fixed or damaged in the past Every bolt, clip, and plastic piece was put back as it was from the factory and restored to its original state. There is a few scratches on the left front wheel, also the bumper has two small dings where it clips in with the fenders. The Front bumper was replaced with an original take off that was never painted and did not got it fixed because it was original and the dings are very small please see pictures. The Hood and LH fender were replaced, the RH fender and LH door were blended in. The Car looks flawless and the interior is in mint condition. WHAT DOES REBUILT OR SALVAGE TITLE MEAN? Many people are not familiar with the Salvage or Rebuilt title, below is a brief explanation of the "Salvage verses Rebuilt Title" terminology: Salvage title means that the insurance company decided not to fix the car and paid off the owner. By declaring a car "Total Loss", the Insurance Company is taking themselves out of any liability issues in the future. Does that mean the car is totaled? not always. Sometimes the car has minor damage but the parts are very expensive. Sometimes the owner does not want to get the vehicle repaired and depending on the Insurance Company and the year of the car, Insurance will pay off the owner. If the car gets stolen then Insurance has thirty days to recover the vehicle depending on the city and insurance company, if the car is not recovered in thirty days or so, Insurance pays off the owner and once the car is recovered, it is brought to the auction as a Total Loss vehicle even if it did not have any damage on it and just wheels stolen. You can buy 'Total Loss" cars from Insurance companies with door dings, extremely minor fender bender, theft recovered vehicles with absolutely no damage. In brief, Total Loss does not always mean that the car was in a bad wreck or had extensive damage. I would not buy or sell anything with major damage. Now for Rebuilt title, once the repairs are completed, car is inspected by state for all repairs and Rebuilt Title is issued. Which means that the new owner will not have to get any inspection done to get the car back on the road. But some states will require to inspect any vehicle if you bring it from a different state even if its clean title so you must check with your state if you need another inspection before you register in your state rebuilt title or clean title.
