1964 Ford Thunderbird in Diamond Blue I have had this car for 11 years and have maintained it to be a reliable driver. It starts every day, drives very well and turns heads everywhere it goes. In 2013 the body was stripped to the metal and given a show quality coat of the original Diamond Blue. While it was apart, the bumpers were triple chrome plated and are beautiful. All exterior chrome and weather stripping was replaced at that time also. The convertible top is 5 years old, barely used and works perfectly. The power windows and seats all work. Carpet and floor mats are newer and the tinted windshield is newer and still in excellent condition The motor is the original 390 with a four barrel carb; it is rebuilt with around 15,000 miles and runs great. In addition to normal maintenance, many parts have been rebuilt or replaced as needed. The brake shoes and wheel cylinders have been replaced and a dual master cylinder makes braking much safer. The springs shocks and front end have replaced and rebuilt. Wire wheels were rebuilt and trued by a shop that builds wire wheels for vintage race cars. The power steering gear and pump were replaced with rebuilt originals. The alternator is newer and battery is new this year. The radiator and surge tank are rebuilt and leak free. The stereo is a newer replacement with aux inputs and new speakers. The air conditioner needs to be recharged, and the clock does not work.This car was appraised and it is insured at $35,000.
