I bought this from the daughter of the original owner as a flip. It seems he passed away many years ago and the bikes been sitting in the garage since the tags expired back in 93. So it's been sitting a LONG time, and it will be a new registration. I had to go through the carbs of course and it runs really great. since it was garaged it has the original seat and in perfect condition, metzeler tires front and back with plenty of rubber left and only 18, 166 miles on it. This is one of the better years of the xs 650, it has electronic ignition with the censor on the crankshaft not the cam and it's spoked wheels for you spoked guys. The bike is so original it even has the original tool kit and lock, and yes, the lock works! I have two sets of keys and all the parts. I didn't put the air boxes back on because I figure you're just going to take it all apart anyway.Now the bad. The turn, neutral, head light indicator cover is broken. It doesn't look like it in the pic but it is (super glue, lol). The starter button is broken but it will still start with a little screw driver. The license plate light needs to be fixed and the gas tank is badly rusted. I'm sure it can be cleaned but it's pretty bad. Also there is a small dent in the tank. Oh, it needs a new battery of course. Also I don't have a pink slip for this. I bought it as a pattern for a single carb manifold so the best I can do is a bill of sale. The reserve is for 800.00I think that covers it all but if you have a question by all means ask.
