Vehicle Detail
1966 Volkswagen Beetle that is ready to be driven. The car is in red now but looks like it was painted blue in the past, it has a red dash that is original, so I believe it was red to start. It has a black interior with brand new front seats from JBug. Body is in good condition, paint is presentable with just a few scratches, chrome is nice. It has the 1300cc engine that starts easily and it has a four-speed manual transmission, the transmission shifts nice and smooth and motor still has some pep in its step. it performs well at highway speed, and makes this beetle a blast to drive. Easy to work on and parts are readily available. It has white wall tires that are almost new, maybe 500 miles. Overall, this is a great little Bug. It is being sold as-is, with no warranty expressed or implied, with mileage exempt due to age, it says 46,000. These vintage air-cooled VWs are gaining a lot of momentum in the collector car field because of their nostalgia, parts interchangeability, availability, and ease of maintenance. This car will get heads turning everywhere you go, I get waves from teen agers to octogenarians, everyone has a story about a bug. It can been lowered in the front easily and I have installed Monroe air-shocks in the front that will raise it about 4 inches, I have the compressor that I have not installed. I have the complete new weather-stripping package from JBug, doors shut good, and chrome is in decent shape. Car is not show quality but is a very nice driver. This car can definitely be used as your daily driver, or just as a weekend warrior. Great start to continue improving to make a quality show bug. I bought this car to cruise the town I live in; my son loved it and drove it all the time, he now wants us to get motorcycles. The prices for these are all over the place, cars worse than mine have sold on Ebay for $3,500, fully restored in the 30k range. Make me an offer I can’t refuse. It is also for sale in other places so I have the right to cancel it early. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
